Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday April 26th 2002 Tiffany took a seat at her desk. She glanced down and saw the note that Clark had left on top of her appointment book. "Gone uptown for the appointment on the upcoming Bloomberg party. Be back this afternoon, Clark," the handwritten note said. She opened her purse and placed the business cards she had picked up from the printers on the desk. She opened the file folder with the monthly billing and decided to try and get some of her work done and put the events of the morning behind her. The front door opened and Clark walked in closing the door behind him. "Is Nicole here?" he asked walking towards Tiffany's desk. "I just got in Clark, I don't know." "Call upstairs," he said taking a seat in the chair in front of Tiffany's desk. Tiffany picked up the phone and dialed the intercom in Nicole's office and let it ring. "I guess not," Tiffany said hanging up the phone as she studied the serious expression on her boss's face. "Tiffany have you seen this?" he asked taking a newspaper from his briefcase and tossing it onto her desk. Tiffany unfolded the newspaper and saw the picture of Amir being wheeled into St. Vincent's hospital. "Yes, I saw it this morning," she said. "I didn't know Nicole's Father was a…. Crime boss," he whispered. "I didn't either Clark." "Do you suppose it's true?" "That's what the newspaper reported." "Oh God. This is very serious." "Well, I don't think you have anything to worry about," she said trying to pretend that she hadn't opened his office door this morning and caught him on the sofa with Nicole. "Nicki never told me this," he said wiping his forehead with the back of his hand. "Why don't you ask her about it." "I wonder where she is?" "I don't know. I was a little upset after what happened this morning so I stopped by my apartment on the way to the printers to you know…regroup." "I was embarrassed by everything Tiffany," he said looking down at his shoes. "I'm sorry Clark. I should have knocked on your door before I opened it." "Oh God. How did everything get like this? The first time I think I've found…." His voiced trailed off. "Let's just forget it," Tiffany said "Did you call the service and check for messages?" he asked. "Not yet. I just got in." "You better do that." "Sure," she said picking up the phone and dialing the answering service. "Hi this is Tiffany at Manhattan Party Planning. Are there any messages for me or Clark?" "Your sister Starlene called," the woman said. "Anything else?" "Nicole called and said to tell Clark her Father is in town this afternoon and she had to go meet him for lunch," the woman said. "Anything else?" "Mr. Mascioni called for Clark." "Hold on," Tiffany said putting her hand over the phone. "Mr. Mascioni called for you," she said. "Oh God, that's Nicole's Father," Clark said rubbing his sweaty hands on his trousers. "Did he leave a message for Clark?" Tiffany asked the woman at the answering service. "Yes, he said he would be meeting him tonight." CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
