Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday April 25th 2002
Skeeter opened the door to the townhouse on MacDougal Alley where his estranged wife Tiffany worked.  He knew Tiffany wasn't there; it was his lover Nicole he wanted to see this morning. He walked inside and closed the door. 
"I'm in the kitchen Tiffany," Nicole called out as she poured herself a cup of coffee in the kitchen beyond Tiffany's desk.
"Hay," Skeeter said in his southern accent walking into the kitchen.
"Skeeter what are you doing here?" Nicole asked putting her coffee cup on the counter.
"Came to see you," Skeeter said.
"Me?  Really?"
"Yeah. Where's Clark?"
"He had a meeting to go to. Wow, this is great.  Come on upstairs and I'll show you my office," she said smiling broadly.
"So we're alone?" Skeeter asked.
"Yeah, why? Did you want to see Tiffany?"
"I just saw her a few minutes ago."
"Really?"
"Yeah.  She was walking towards her apartment."
"Oh.  She's supposed to be picking up my business cards from the printer."
"I talked to her for a while."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, she told me that she walked into Clark's office this morning and saw him getting it on with you Nicole," Skeeter said taking a step closer to her.
"She's a liar," Nicole said picking up her coffee cup and taking a sip of the coffee.
"Is she?"
"Sure", she lied calmly placing the cup on the counter behind her.
"Good. I didn't want to think you were playing me."
"Nope."
"Did you read the article in the newspaper?"
"No.  Somebody called here though and said something to Clark about it."
"Has he seen it?"
"No.  He said he was going to pick up a newspaper on his way to his appointment this morning."
"It says your old man is an alleged  Florida crime boss."
"Really?" she said not surprised.
"That's what it says.  So is he?" Skeeter asked smiling coyly.
"I guess you could say that."
"And you didn't tell me?"
"It's not exactly the kind of thing you announce Skeeter."
"That's where he got all the money, huh?"
"What are you getting at Skeeter?"
"Will your old man be coming to New York looking for me or anything?"
"I don't know."
"Does he know that you bailed me out?"
"Of course not."
"Of course not?  Does that mean he wouldn't like it if he knew?"
"I don't care what he thinks. I'm a grown woman."
"I care though."
"Come on I want to show you my office," she said taking him by the arm and leading him into the other room near Tiffany's desk.
"I want to know the truth Nicki.  Is your old man going to be upset that you're seeing me?"
"I don't know Skeeter. I really don't know.  Maybe he won't see the newspaper article.  So don't worry about it. Come on, you've never seen my office," she said as the phone rang on Tiffany's desk.
"Manhattan Party Planning," she said as she answered the phone.
"Nicki."
"Daddy," she said as she let go of Skeeter's arm and turned around to avoid his eyes.
