Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday April 23rd 2002
Tiffany watched Skeeter's face as he read the newspaper article as they stood on the corner of MacDougal Street near the office where she worked.  She thought she saw a slight smile when he read the sentence about Nicole's father being a Florida crime boss.
"You goin' to save that and put it with our wedding pictures?" he asked in his southern accent as he handed her the newspaper.
"Funny.  Very funny Skeeter Diamond.  You almost kill one of the wealthiest men in New York City and you make a joke about it."
"Wealthy man.  That's it, isn't it Tiffany? That's why you've been  with him all this time isn't it?  Now's his wife's back in New York and you're worried you'll lose him and all his money aren't you?"
"I think you're the one that better be worried Skeeter."
"I'm not.  I'm not worried about anything."
"Nicole bailed you out?" she asked referring to the secretary where she worked.  She had just opened her boss Clark's office door today and caught him on the sofa with Nicole in a very compromising position.
"Yes Nicole bailed me out.  See I have a few friends."
"Friends?  Are you saying that Nicole is just a friend to you?"
"You jealous?"
"No.  I'm just asking you if that's what you think?" Tiffany asked noticing that several people had stopped nearby and they were obviously listening to their conversation.
"We might be a little more than friends, but she's not married Tiffany. Your sugar Daddy is married," he said referring to Amir.
"He's not my Sugar Daddy."
"Not anymore, not since his wife came out of the coma and moved back in with him to claim her fair share of the money."
"I think you have a lot of nerve Skeeter."
"I didn't do anything that any other red blooded American wouldn't do with a foreigner like him trying to steal my wife."
"I think we should talk a little more about you and Nicole," Tiffany said unable to contain her anger.
"What?  What do you want to know?  Do you want to know if I've been with her? Is that it Tiffany?" he said grabbing her by the shoulders, shaking her and tightening his grip. The strangers on the sidewalk stepped back.
"You should know she's been with every man in New York Skeeter."
"Just like you?"
"I'm not like her. Don't ever accuse me of being like that little tramp."
"You're jealous Tiffany cause she loves me and you have to work with her now.  That's it, why don't you admit it?" he asked shaking her so hard that she dropped her purse on the sidewalk.
"I caught your little innocent Nicole on the sofa with my boss Clark this morning Skeeter.  She doesn't love you," Tiffany said as the tears rolled down her cheeks.
"What?" he asked letting go of her shoulders so quickly she almost fell backwards.  She regained her balance and wiped her cheeks before bending down to pick up her purse.
"You're lying Tiffany."
"Yeah… Skeeter I'm lying.  I just made that up to try and get you back.  You're such a winner I didn't want to lose you," Tiffany said turning to walk away.
"You had better watch your step Tiffany.  I'm not going to put up with much more of your ways.  You thought you could make a fool out of me when you moved to New York and took up with that damn foreigner for the whole world to see.  I won't stand for you making a fool out of me," Skeeter screamed as he watched her pick up her step walking towards the entrance to her apartment building.
"What the hell are you looking at?" Skeeter screamed as he turned around to see strangers pretending not to be listening.
