Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday April 15th 2002 Starlene closed the door and opened the peephole on the metal door of the apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "They're gone," she announced watching the elevator door in the hallway close as the detective and the policeman left. "Oh God. This is just the worst nightmare ever," Tiffany said walking back into the living room. "Did you hear anymore on the news about Amir?" Starlene asked as she glanced at the TV screen. "I heard them say the hospital wasn't releasing any information about his condition," Tiffany said as her shoulders started to shake and the tears rolled down her cheeks. "That doesn't mean anything Tiffany," Starlene said taking a seat beside her sister on the sofa. "They usually say that when the person is dead," Tiffany said as she grabbed a tissue from the box on the coffee table. "I don't think he's dead. At least I hope not," Starlene said as the doorbell rang. "I'll get it," she said jumping up and walking to the front door. She glanced through the peephole and quickly opened the door. "Stanley! Oh God, I'm so glad you came by," she said as her wealthy older lover walked into the apartment. "Is your sister here?" he asked walking towards the living room. "Yeah, in there," Starlene said walking behind him as he rushed towards the living room. "Hi Stanley," Tiffany said blowing her nose and grabbing another tissue from the box. "Damn what a mess," Stanley said taking a seat in a chair across from Tiffany. "Get me a drink would you please Starlene," he said smiling at his pretty, young lover. "Sure honey," Starlene said walking towards the kitchen. "Have you seen Amir?" Tiffany asked. "No. I called the hospital." "What did they say?" "They aren't releasing any information. Not even to me." "Oh God. I think he's dead." "I hope not. If he is you're in big trouble." "Me?" "Yeah. You know your husband told the police that you asked him to get rid of Amir." "He's a liar." "Good… glad to hear you say that." "Well, you certainly didn't think I would do something like that did you?" "I knew you were angry about Amir's wife coming back to him," Stanley said referring to Amir's comatose wife that had recently recovered and moved back from their island home to her husband's mansion in New York. "Mad? I'm not mad. I'm disappointed that I can't be with Amir. I'm glad his wife is okay," she lied. "I'd never want Skeeter to harm anyone. Stanley how can I find out how Amir's doing?" "I'll call the hospital again," he said watching as Starlene brought him his cocktail and placed it on the table in front of him. He took his cell phone from his jacket pocket and dialed the number to the hospital. "By the way Tiffany. I was with Jan when Skeeter called her from the jail asking her to come down and post bail. Do you know why your husband would call my daughter?" Stanley asked as he heard the operator say "St. Vincent's Hospital." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
