"How did it go with Tiffany?"  Nicole asked as Skeeter handed her a glass of wine.
"Not too good, but I think I'll get the divorce," he said taking a long sip of his Bourbon before taking a seat beside her on the futon in his apartment on Bleecker Street.
"Is that what you want Skeeter?"
"Yeah. I want you and me together," he said putting his arm around her and pulling her closer.
"You mean like together how?"
"Maybe we could get married and start a business or something," he said pushing her dark hair from her face and kissing her lightly on the neck.
"Skeeter you didn't strike me as the marrying kind when I met you."
"That was before I met you Nicki. You've changed me."
"What about Jan?"
"Jan's Jan.  What can I say?  I don't think I'll be seeing her anymore."
"Did you tell her that?"
"No. Not yet.  I was waiting to see how things went with us."
"Oh keeping her as a back up."
"No. But Jan's got a nasty temper and she's best friends with my boss. I'll lose my job over this," he said unbuttoning the front of her sweater.
"Then maybe you better stay with Jan if you value your job," Nicole said watching him unbutton her sweater.
"Nicki, don't I mean anything to you Baby?" he asked as he skillfully unclasped her hook with one hand.
"Skeeter I love being with you, but…" she said as he kissed her neck and throat.
"But what Baby," he said pushing her back onto the futon.
"I don't know," she said breathlessly.
"You don't know what you want?" he whispered as his hand pulled on her short skirt.
"Yeah. I'm not sure."
"You want this don't you Baby?"
"Yeah."
"You want this everyday?"
"Yeah."
"Then we should get married Nicki," he said kissing her ear.
"Skeeter are you proposing to me?" she whispered.
"Yeah."
"You are?" she said pushing him forward so that she could look into his eyes.
"Yeah, Baby. I guess I am."
"You mean like a ring and everything?"
"Is that what you want?"
"I don't know.  I guess so."
"Then we'll get you one."
"What about your job and Jan?"
"I told you Nicki I'll lose my job over this," he said shaking his head.
"Then what will you do?"
"I don't know. Live on love I guess," he said attempting to pull her towards him.
"No seriously Skeeter what would you do then?"
"Maybe we could open a lingerie store or something. You could model."
"With my Father's money?"
"Wouldn't that be fun?" he asked lightly running his fingers from her throat down to her waist.
"Yes Skeeter that would be great fun," she said as she unbuttoned his shirt.
