Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday March 28th 2002 Skeeter opened the door to his apartment on Bleecker Street. "Come on in," he said holding the door open for his estranged wife Tiffany. "Hi Skeeter," she said glancing around the apartment before walking in. "Take off your coat and have a seat," he said pointing towards the futon sofa. "I can't stay long," she said pulling her jacket off and throwing it over the back of the futon before taking a seat. "Thanks for coming over Baby. You want a drink?" "No. Skeeter let's get right to it. You've been with Nicole," she said referring to the secretary that worked at the party planning business where she was employed. "I have not," he lied taking a seat on the futon beside her. "You have too! I picked up the phone in the office today and heard the two of you talking." "She called me," he said watching her face closely. "I overheard the conversation Skeeter. I know you've been with her." "I wouldn't think you would care one way or the other." "What about Jan?" she asked. She heard Nicole bring Jan's name up in the conversation. She had to hang up when her boss came in the room and she never heard the answer to the question about his relationship with Jan. "Jan who?" he asked his eyes narrowing. "You know very well, Jan Morgan. What about your relationship with her?" "I don't know what you're talking about Tiffany." "I heard you talking to Nicole about Jan too." "You must have heard wrong. I don't know what you are talking about." "I've thought all along you were seeing Jan. You are, aren't you Skeeter?" "Tiffany why do you care what I do? You haven't wanted to be with me since you left Georgia." "Skeeter you've ruined my life." "I've ruined your life? You're the one that's making a mess of it dating that married foreigner." "Stop it. You've ruined my life. You cheated on me as soon as we were married." "I did not." "Yes you did. I know you cheated with my best friend Brenda. That was bad enough Skeeter but to come to New York and ruin my life here too…it's too much!" she screamed jumping up from the sofa. She walked to the window and gazed down at the view of Bleecker Street, resting her hand on the table nearby to steady her nerves. "New York's a big city Tiffany. I got transferred here." "And took my apartment," she said turning around waving her hands at the living room. "You want the apartment back? Is that it? Your rich boyfriend throwing you out of that fancy apartment of his." "Stop it Skeeter. Stop it right now." "Well, what do you want from me Tiffany?" "I don't want anything from you except for you to stay out of my life." "I have been out of your life. It looks like to me you mess it up just fine without me." "Skeeter you're dating the secretary that works where I do. I just know you have been seeing Jan too. Can't you find women that I don't have to work with everyday?" "I thought you came over here so that we could talk about getting the divorce settled. I didn't know you came here because you're jealous and wanted to accuse me," he said as the phone rang on the table next to where she was standing. Tiffany looked down at the caller ID. "Maybe I should get that Skeeter," she said smiling spitefully. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
