Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 25th 2002
"We hear your wife will be here tomorrow morning.  Have you made any special arrangements for her," the television reporter asked Amir rushing to keep in step with the handsome foreigner.
"No comment," Amir said closing the door of his Sutton Place mansion.
"The reports are that Mr. Hada's wife will be arriving soon," the television reporter said.  "Now back to you Sue in the studios."
"One more question Rick," the woman reporter in the newsroom said.
"Yes," he answered as the camera came back to Amir's mansion.
"Amir has been spotted occasionally the last few years with a woman named Tiffany Diamond.  Has anyone seen her or heard reports of her reaction?"
"Turn that off," Tiffany said wiping the tears from her cheeks as she sat beside her sister on the sofa of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park.
"Wow. This is really heavy," Starlene said turning the volume down on the TV and throwing the remote on the coffee table.
"I just want to die."
"Oh.  Come on Tiffany.  He hasn't been with his wife Malena in years.  She's been in a coma, how good could a woman look after years of being in a coma?"
"Yeah, but she's his wife.  She'll be living with him."
"But he loves you."
"He loved her enough to marry her Starlene."
"You could still see him."
"I don't think I would want to.  It was different when she was in a coma.  Now she's awake.  I can't keep seeing him," Tiffany said as the phone rang.
"You want me to get it?" Starlene asked.
Tiffany nodded as she wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"Hello," Starlene answered.
"I need to speak to Tiffany," Amir said in his broken English.
"Let me see if she's here Amir," Starlene said holding her hand over the phone.
Tiffany shook her head that she didn't want to speak to her lover.
"She's not here," Starlene lied.
"I hope she gets home okay. She leave restaurant crying."
"Yes.  I saw you on the news just now.  Your wife is coming to New York."
"Yes.  I am shocked as Tiffany."
"Are you still in love with your wife?" Starlene asked as Tiffany stared at her in surprise.
"I care very deeply.  Many years pass since Malena be wife to me.  I love Tiffany very much."
"Do you still want to see Tiffany while your wife is here?"
"I think it best that I stay with Malena."
"So you don't plan to see Tiffany?" Starlene persisted as she saw Tiffany watching her closely.
"I want best for Tiffany. Tell her I call.  Tell her I call her later. I go now," Amir said hanging up the phone.
"What did he say?" Tiffany asked watching Starlene hang up the phone.
"He's going to stay with his wife."
"I knew that.  But what about me?"
"I think you should get everything out of this that you can Tiffany."
"What do you mean?"
"Money. I think you should get money and publicity and turn this into something positive for you."
"I could never do that Starlene."
"Oh yes you can and you will," Starlene said grabbing the phone as it rang again.
