Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday March 19th 2002 "When do you think your Father's friend will book the party?" Clark asked picking up the wineglasses and walking back to the sofa in his upstairs office. "Thanks Clark," Nicole said taking the wineglass from him as he took a seat beside her on the sofa. "Soon, I'm sure. He was very happy to get the information today and we spent a long time talking about his plans," Nicole lied. She had spent the entire day with Tiffany's estranged husband in his apartment on Bleecker Street instead of making sales calls on her first day of the job. "He's been a friend of your Father's for how long?" Clark asked taking a sip of his wine and putting the glass on the coffee table. "Oh years." "This will be great Nicole. We really need the business. Do you have other family friends you can call on this week?" "Oh sure. I'll look at the list I made tomorrow." "Could we just run through the names now?" he asked anxious to see how many new parties she would bring to his ailing party planning business. "Clark. I worked all day," she said frowning. "I thought this was an after work celebration of my first sales call," she said. "Oh sure. Sorry I didn't mean to be so pushy." "Good. I hoped we would get to know each other a little better." "You're right. To you Nicole," he said holding up his wineglass to a toast. "To us Clark," she said touching her glass to his as they both took a drink of their wine. "I hope this will be a mutually beneficial relationship," Clark said. "I'm certain it will be. Tell me more about you Clark," she asked crossing her legs as the short blue leather skirt rose up high on her thighs. "I just work all of the time Nicole. I don't know what to tell you." "Well, do you have a girlfriend?" "No." "Want one?" "That would be nice but I haven't met anyone. I've spent the last few years trying to get the business going." "Don't you ever meet women through parties and work that you do?" "I have occasionally but it never came to anything." "What about Tiffany? Did the two of you ever, you know?" "No. She had her sights on Amir from the beginning." "Really. I guess that made you happy that she and your wealthiest client were hitting it off." "Not really. I was ready to fire her, but Stanley convinced me that it would be a mistake." "Why would you fire her for that?" "Mixing business with personal affairs." "Oh come on Clark. You aren't that uptight about business are you?" she asked smiling seductively. "Well…" he said shaking his head a little embarrassed as he glanced at her legs in the short skirt. "I mean what if I was attracted to you?" she asked touching her shoulder to his as she smiled. "I don't know. I never really thought about it," he lied. "It would be nice wouldn't it? I mean we do share the same interests." "Yeah, that's true," he said as the intercom on his desk buzzed. He quickly placed his wineglass on the coffee table and walked to his desk and picked up the phone. "Yeah," he said. "Clark. It's Nicole's Father's friend. He wants to know why Nicole didn't come by for her appointment today," Tiffany said trying to hide the satisfaction she felt over this latest revelation. "Didn't come by? There must be a mistake," Clark said. "What do you want me to tell him?" "I'll take care of it later. You can go home for the evening," Clark said as he watched as Nicole put her feet on the coffee table. Her short leather skirt barely covered the top of her thighs as she leaned back smiling at him seductively. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
