Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 18th 2002
"Hi," Nicole said opening the door of the townhouse on MacDougal Street where she worked.
"Hi Nicole, how did your first sales call go?" Tiffany asked trying to hide her jealousy that Nicole had gotten the job in sales that Clark had promised her for years.
"Oh great.  Is Clark here?" she asked taking off her coat and hanging it on the rack beside the door.
"Upstairs.  Jan just left his office."
"Jan was here?"
"Yeah, she didn't stay but a few minutes though."
"I see," Nicole said wondering if that was Jan that had called Skeeter's apartment while she was in the shower.  She thought he seemed eager to see her leave.
"Did you decide what title you want on your business cards?" Tiffany asked.
"Yes, I think I'll go with Business Manager."
"Okay.  I'll place the order tomorrow. It's too late to call it in today," Tiffany said as she watched Nicole start up the stairs towards Clark's office.
"Fine Tiffany, thanks," she said glancing up the stairs and seeing Clark's face light up as he saw her coming towards his office.
"Hi Nicole.  How did it go?" he asked eager to hear that her Father's wealthy friend would book parties with his business.
"Great.  I'm sure he'll book a party with you," Nicole lied after spending the entire day in Skeeter's apartment on Bleecker Street.
"That's great but I don't understand."
"What?"
"I called his office and they said that you never arrived today."
"Oh. There must be a mistake.  Probably his new secretary or something."
"Then you did go on the sales call?"
"Sure."
"When do you think he'll book the party?  We could really use the business."
"I'm not sure.  I'll have to call him again next week and see when he'll be ready. You know I wanted to just drop off the information today and let him know that I'm working for you," she said taking a seat in the chair in front of his desk.
"Oh sure Nicole. That's fine," he said watching her cross her legs in the short skirt.
"I love sales Clark.  I think I'll really enjoy this job," she said smiling as she saw his eyes on her legs.
"It's great having you here Nicole."
"What time do I get off from work?"
"Whenever you're finished with your work.  I guess around 5."
"It's 4:30 now. Did you have anything we need to work on this afternoon?"
"No.  I guess not."
"Good then why don't we have a drink and celebrate my first sales call," she suggested smiling.
"That sounds like a great idea.  Where would you like to go?"
"This seems really nice here.  Your office is so comfortable," she said walking towards the sofa and taking a seat as she allowed the short blue leather skirt to rise up on her thighs.
"I'll pour us a drink," he said getting up walking to a nearby table and picking up the decanter filled with wine.
"Should we invite Tiffany to celebrate with us?" he asked as he poured the wine into the glasses.
"I really hoped we would get to know each other a little better," Nicole said kicking off her high heel shoes and putting her legs up on the leather sofa.
"Sounds great!" he said noticing that she didn't bother to pull down her short leather skirt leaving nothing to his imagination.  When he finally managed to glance in her eyes, his heart raced as she smiled at him knowingly.
