Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday March 6th 2002 "Why don't we all go out for lunch?" Stanley suggested as he stood at the door of Clark's townhouse preparing to leave with his voluptuous young lover Starlene. "I can't today Stanley. I'd like to take you up on that offer some other time though," Clark said smiling as he held the door open for them to leave. "See you tonight Tiffany," Starlene said noticing that her sister Tiffany had already taken a seat at her desk and hadn't bothered to look up as they were leaving. "Sure," Tiffany said nodding her head. "Thanks for everything Clark," Stanley said. "I think I owe you the thanks," Clark said patting his wealthy older client on the back as he stepped out onto the sidewalk. "This all worked out perfectly," Stanley said glancing towards Starlene and seeing her smile broaden at his words. "I'll be in touch," Clark said closing the door. He shook his head slightly in disbelief as he walked slowly towards the living room. He glanced towards Tiffany's desk and saw her pretending to be heavily involved in paperwork. "So that was a pleasant surprise," Clark said hoping to find out if Tiffany knew why Stanley had stopped by his office. "Yeah," she said never looking up. "What are you working on so intently?" he asked taking a seat in front of her desk. "Going over the bookings for the next few months." "We don't have many." "Yeah." "That's a problem too. "I know." "If business doesn't pick up I don't know what I'm going to do," he said rubbing his forehead. "It will," she said hopefully glancing up at him. "I have some news." "Yeah." "Yeah. Nicole's going to be working here in our office from now on." "Really?" "Did Starlene tell you?" "She mentioned it." "What do you think?" "I think it's a horrible idea." "Why?" "I'm not crazy about her Clark." "She's nice Tiffany. She's a nice young girl." "Clark, she can't even type." "We don't have that much typing." "So what will she do?" "I don't know yet." "Then why did you say she could work here?" "It's for free! Stanley is going to pay her salary and I get free help." "Don't you wonder why Stanley would be so willing to give you his secretary and pay her salary?" "I know why. Your sister Starlene is jealous of her." "That's part of the reason," Tiffany said hesitating. "Is this going to be a problem for you?" he asked as his expression became very serious. "No. I hope not," she lied. "Good." "Is this permanent?" "Nothing's ever permanent Tiffany. We'll see how the two of you work together and take it from there," he said getting up and walking towards the staircase to go up to his office. "When's she coming?" "Soon, very soon," he said his heart racing in anticipation. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
