"Starlene what are you talking about?"  Tiffany asked shocked at her young sister's last statement.  She watched Starlene nervously get up and walk towards the window of the townhouse where she worked.
"It would be ideal," Starlene said pulling up the venetian blinds to look out on the cobblestones of the MacDougal Mews.
"You mean that Stanley wants Nicole to work here with me?" Tiffany asked hearing her voice a little louder than she had anticipated.
"Why not?"
"Starlene I don't want to work with her."
"Tiffany something has to be done."
"Done.  You mean Stanley dumps her here for me to have to put up with?"
"Look Tiffany, this is perfect.  Stanley will pay her salary and she'll work here for free."
"You told me yourself she can't even type Starlene."
"Yeah.  But you can get her to do all the things you don't like to do."
"Starlene!" Tiffany said pushing her office chair back and coming quickly to her feet.
"Tiffany I thought you would be happy to hear this," Starlene lied.
"Happy to hear that the little tramp will be right here all day," Tiffany said walking towards the sofa and taking a seat.
"Tiffany this is perfect. I get rid of her so she isn't in the office with my Stanley everyday and you get help with your work."
"Starlene you know damn well she can't do anything except…"
"Clark's not interested in her."
"How do we know?  What if he is?  Then she'd be up there on the sofa with him all day while I work," Tiffany said feeling tears coming to her eyes.
"Oh come on Tiffany.  What can I do?  I want to marry Stanley. I have to get rid of Nicole or that will never happen."
"So you tell Stanley to dump her here on me!" Tiffany said hitting the sofa cushion with her fist.
"I didn't tell Stanley to do this, Jan did," she said referring to Stanley's older daughter that worked with Tiffany's lover Amir.
"Jan?"
"Yeah. Stanley said it was her idea."
"Oh great!  Now my sister is conspiring with my worst enemy."
"Come on Tiffany.  Don't be like that."
"How do you expect me to be?  Why didn't you mention this to me?"
"I just found out last night."
"So Stanley is upstairs right now asking Clark if she can work here?"
"Yeah," Starlene said quietly walking towards the sofa and taking a seat beside her sister.
"You could have at least called me this morning and warned me that this was going to happen today."
"I didn't think about it."
"No.  All you thought about was yourself and Stanley."
"You can't blame me can you?  I mean you wouldn't want Nicole working in the office with Amir would you?"
"No! Why? Was that mentioned?"
"Yeah.  But then Jan would have to be around her and she couldn't stand that."
"So I have to be the one that puts up with her."
"Only until Stanley and I get married."
"Starlene…Stanley might not ever marry you."
"He will too!"
"We'll I hope it's soon then," Tiffany said turning to look towards the staircase as she heard Stanley and Clark laughing and talking as they walked down the stairs towards the living room.
