Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday February 26th 2002
Skeeter picked up the telephone and dialed the number to Jan's Upper East Side mansion.
"Miss Morgan's residence," the housekeeper answered.
"Hi Ilona, it's me Skeeter," he said in his slow southern accent.
"Ah, Mister Skeeter", she said smiling broadly as she remembered the masculine southerner that had spent many nights in the mansion with Jan.
"I've missed you Ilona. I hope you've missed me."
"Yes, Mister Skeeter.  How are you?" she asked feeling warm all over.  She glanced towards the living room where Jan was seated at her desk.
"I'm good.  Me and Jan had a little misunderstanding and I haven't been over lately.  I hope we can patch things up soon," he said.
"I see."
"Is she there?"
"Hold on I check this for you Mister Skeeter," she said hitting the hold button on the phone and walking towards the entrance to the living room.
"It's Mister Skeeter on the phone.  You want to speak with him?"
"Uh…".  Jan said frowning and rubbing her forehead thoughtfully. "Okay," she said picking up the receiver. "Skeeter," she said.
"Hi Baby.  How are you doing?"
"How do you think I am Skeeter?
"I've missed you Baby."
"Oh really.  I thought you would be with Nicole tonight."
"There's nothing to that Baby."
"Skeeter I saw it with my own eyes there was a lot to it," she said remembering the night she stopped by his apartment and caught him with her Father's young secretary.
"I was hoping you'd be over that Jan.  You know you're the only woman for me.  Nicole's just a girl, she threw herself on me," he lied.
"Seems she's thrown herself on a lot of people," she said thinking about the problems her Father was having now after his intimate involvement with his secretary Nicole.
"Want me to come over and keep you warm tonight?" he asked.
"No. I'm busy," she said glancing down at her financial records that she was going over before he called.
"You found yourself a new lover?"
"No, Skeeter there are some things that are more important.  You wouldn't know about that though."
"Come on Baby.  Don't stay mad.  You sound like you need some loving.  I could help relieve that tension," he said in his most seductive voice.
"I don't know"…she said as she realized that she wouldn't be having any other men call and offer to be with her.
"Tell Ilona to make us a nice dinner and I'll come over and keep you warm tonight."
"I'm still furious with you and Nicole."
"I'm calling you and not her."
"Are you still seeing her?"
"No."
"You aren't going to be seeing her anymore?"
"No, Baby I told you…you're my woman."
"Skeeter if I catch you seeing her again I'll see to it that Bob fires you," Jan said referring to his boss and her business acquaintance.
"You don't have to hold my job over my head Jan.  I don't have any plans for seeing Nicole again.  If you don't want me to call you then just say so."
