Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday February 18th 2002
"Do you want me to go with you Starlene?"  Tiffany asked standing in the doorway of her sister's bedroom in their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. 
"No.  I'll be okay," Starlene said glancing up as she sat on the edge of her bed pulling on her boots.
"Starlene don't you think you should tell Stanley that Nicole called you?" Tiffany asked referring to the late night call from Stanley's secretary Nicole.
"No.  I think this needs to be woman to woman," Starlene said standing up and walking towards the mirror.
"This makes me nervous Starlene.  Tell me again exactly what she said last night?" Tiffany asked watching Starlene pull a low cut sweater over her head.
"She said she wanted to talk to me.  She said she knew I wanted her to quit her job and that it was time we get some things straight," Starlene said brushing her long blonde hair.
"Get things straight.  That doesn't sound too good to me Starlene.  Stanley's afraid of her Father.  Her Father knows that Stanley and Nicole were…" Tiffany hesitated not wanting to remind her sister of the day she had caught her lover Stanley 'in the act' with his young secretary Nicole.
"Yes.  Her Father knows that she was "doing it" with my Stanley," Starlene said tossing her hairbrush onto her nearby bed.
"Stanley told you he hired security Starlene.  This could be serious," Tiffany said glancing at the short leather skirt that Starlene was wearing.
"I'm not scared.  This is woman to woman today," Starlene said pulling her sweater off her shoulder and adjusting her straps to get maximum cleavage.
"Why don't I go with you?"
"No Tiffany.  I can handle this."
"Yeah, but you don't know what you're getting into with this Starlene.  I mean her Father might be Mafia or something."
"Naw.  I don't think so," Starlene said in her southern accent laughing and shaking her head.
"If Stanley's so worried he hired security then you never know.  Her Father owns casinos and stuff."
"That doesn't mean he's Mafia," Starlene said checking her nail polish for chips as she admired the new diamond ring Stanley had given her the other night.
"Her boyfriend Vinny looks Mafia too."
"Why?"
"The gold jewelry and everything."
"Oh Tiffany your imagination's getting the best of you."
"Does Stanley know you're meeting her?"
"No.  I didn't tell him."
"I think you should Starlene.  Just in case something happens."
"I don't want Stanley to know yet.  I'm going to get rid of her Tiffany," Starlene said turning to the side as she gazed into the mirror admiring her voluptuous cleavage in the low cut sweater.
"Starlene why are you dressed like that to meet her?"
"Cause I want her to know I've got more than she does to keep my Stanley satisfied.  Nicole is out of here," she said confidently picking up her purse and walking past her sister towards the living room of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park.
"Does she know that Stanley gave you an engagement ring?" Tiffany asked following her into the living room as she watched her put on her pink fur trimmed jacket.
"Not yet. But she will soon."
"Aren't you a little afraid that her Father will show up with some hitmen or something?"
"Oh Tiffany.  You worry too much."
"I'll call you later," Starlene said walking towards the front door and opening it.
"Where did she ask you to meet her?"
"Little Italy," Starlene said closing the door.
