Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday February 6th 2002 Starlene walked towards the back of the Washington Square Diner and touched her estranged brother in law on the shoulder as she walked up to the booth where he had just been seated. "Hay Baby, how ya doin?" Skeeter asked smiling and quickly putting his address book back into his pocket. "Great. Are you expecting anyone?" she asked. "No. Where's your friend?" Skeeter asked referring to Vinny. He had been shocked to see her with the muscular younger man when he walked into the diner a few minutes ago. "He had to leave. He had a plane to catch back to Florida," she said. "Oh I thought maybe you had traded in your rich older boyfriend for a younger model." "No. Maybe I should, but I didn't." "Have a seat Baby," Skeeter said nodding towards the empty seat across from him. "Okay," she said sliding in the booth as the waitress walked towards them. "Ready to order?" the waitress asked glancing at Starlene. "I just ate, remember?" "Whatever…you ready?" she asked glancing at Skeeter. "Bring me two sunny side up, bacon, two orders of toast and a glass of milk," Skeeter said. "Got any grits?" he asked. "No. What is that? I think you're the second person that asked about grits," the waitress said writing down the order. "Yeah I asked about them a few minutes ago," Starlene said smiling. "Whatever," the waitress said walking away shaking her head. "So what's up with this new guy Starlene?" Skeeter asked admiring the waitresses' legs as she walked towards the back of the restaurant. "That guy Vinny, is the boyfriend of Stanley's secretary", Starlene said. "Oh…I see. Seeing him on the sly," he said raising his eyebrows in approval. "No. It's not like that. I mean I'm not seeing him or anything." "Oh. Looked like you were seeing him. I mean you were having breakfast with the guy," Skeeter said smiling. "No. I just met with him to tell him some of the things about his cheating girlfriend Nicole," she said shaking her head in disgust. "Like what?" he asked wondering what Starlene would know about Nicole. He wondered if perhaps his sister in-law had found out that Nicole had been secretly spending time at his apartment. "Like I caught her on the sofa with my Stanley." "You mean…like they were gettin' it on?" Skeeter asked. "Yeah." "You sure of that?" he asked shocked. "Of course. I know they were, I caught them in the act." "Man…. I didn't know Nicole was seeing him," Skeeter muttered under his breath thoughtfully. "How well do you know Nicole?" she asked shocked. "Oh…. I don't know," he said taking a sip of his coffee. "Come on Skeeter Diamond. Do you know her, like know her?" she asked. "Yeah Baby I know her. Don't tell Tiffany though," he said unable to hide his pride. "No. You know I never tell Tiffany anything you tell me Skeeter," she said referring to his secret relationship with Stanley's daughter Jan that Skeeter had confided in her. "What about Jan?" she asked wondering if he was still seeing her lover's daughter. "She's mad a me right now." "Oh. You mean you aren't seeing her anymore?" "I don't know." "What happened Skeeter?" "Nicole," he said picking up the sugar container and starting to pour the sugar into his coffee. "She suspects something with you and Nicole?" "She knows." "She caught you with her?" Starlene asked shocked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
