Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday February 5th 2002 "What's this?" Vinny asked picking up the envelope Starlene had just placed on the booth of the Washington Square Diner. "It's proof Vinny. I found this in Stanley's desk drawer while he was out. Nicole was planning to pose for Playbody. Stanley got her the job," Starlene said sliding the envelope with the pictures across the booth as she looked around the restaurant to be sure that none of the patrons were listening to their conversation. Vinny picked up the envelope and pulled out the pictures holding them close to his black leather jacket so as to shield them in case someone walked past. Starlene watched as he placed one photograph behind the other expressionless as he looked at the risqué pictures of his girlfriend. The front door of the diner opened and Starlene glanced up. "Oh my God," she said shocked. "Skeeter!" she said surprised to see her ex-brother in law walking towards their table. Vinny quickly put the photographs back into the envelope and looked up. "Starlene how ya doing?" Skeeter asked in his slow southern accent. "I'm okay. What are you doing?" Starlene asked. "Just getting something to eat," he said glancing towards Vinny wondering if his sister in law had given up her rich older boyfriend for the younger man seated with her. "This is Vinny. Vinny meet my ex-brother-in-law Skeeter," Starlene said nodding towards Vinny. "How ya doin?" Vinny asked nodding at Skeeter. "Great…great man," Skeeter said starting to walk away. "Skeeter I'd love to talk to you sometime," Starlene said. "Sure Baby, anytime. Just call me." "You still living on Bleecker Street?" she asked. "Yeah, till I get rich enough to move into Trump Tower," he said smiling. "I better be going Starlene. I got to catch my plane for Florida," Vinny said motioning for the waitress to give him the check. "Nice meeting you," Skeeter said walking towards the back of the restaurant and sliding into a booth. "You too," Vinny said nodding as he pulled out a wad of money from his back pocket and unfolded it. "What are you going to do about Nicole?" Starlene asked eyeing the envelope on the table in front of Vinny. "I'm going to talk to her." "You aren't going to tell her that I showed you the pictures are you?" "I'll see what she has to say." "I don't think she'll admit any of this Vinny." "Then I'll talk to her old man." "You mean her Father?" "Yeah. He'd wanna know this," Vinny said picking up the envelope with the pictures in them and putting them into the inside of his black leather jacket. "But the pictures Vinny... How will you explain where you got them?" Starlene asked nervously. "I'll say I met the photographer and he gave them to me, somethin' like that." "You won't say I gave them to you?" "No." "You won't say that they came from Stanley's office will you?" "I don't know about that," "That would get me in trouble with Stanley." "You in love with him Starlene?" "I don't know," she said honestly. "I think you deserve better than him Honey." "You deserve better too Vinny." "You're right. I intend to find better too after I get this straightened out," he said picking up the check. "You leavin' now?" he asked. "No. I think I'll talk to my brother in law for a few minutes. I haven't seen him in a long time." "I'll be in touch with you Starlene." Vinny said handing the waitress the check and the money as she walked past them. "I hope so Vinny," she said as they both stood up. "You can count on it," he said glancing down at her cleavage in the low cut sweater as he stood in front of him. "Bye," she said smiling sweetly as she started to turn and walk towards the back of the restaurant. She felt his strong hand on her arm and she turned back to face him. "Don't worry bout nothin' Starlene. I'll never do anything to hurt you," he said kissing her on the cheek as he zipped his black leather jacket. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
