Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday February 1st 2002 "That you Starlene?" Tiffany called out from the living room of her apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. She heard the front door open and close. "Yeah," Starlene said taking off her coat and hanging it on the rack by the door before walking into the living room. "How was dinner?" Tiffany asked quickly picking up the remote for the television and turning down the sound on the movie that she was watching. "The Rainbow Room is nice," Starlene said kicking off her high heels as she took a seat in the chair beside the sofa. "Did you and Stanley make up?" Tiffany asked referring to the fight the two lovers had over Starlene catching Stanley with his young secretary Nicole earlier in the day. "No, not really," Starlene said reaching towards the coffee table to get a hand full of popcorn from the bowl in front of her sister. "I'm sorry Starlene." "He says he's sorry. He says it didn't mean anything, but of course it was something. They were clearly in the act Tiffany," Starlene said shaking her head in disbelief as she chewed the popcorn. "So what do you think you'll do? Will you stop seeing him?" "No way. I'm not giving him up that easily. I mean Stanley is one of the wealthiest men in this city," Starlene said her eyes wide in amazement over her sister's suggestion. "Money's not everything though Starlene. I mean if you can't trust him." "I have to get rid of her." "Yeah, but you tried and it didn't work out." "Then I have to try again that's all," Starlene said reaching for her purse that she had thrown on the floor beside the chair. "What will you do?" "I'm going to call Vinny again," Starlene said referring to Nicole's boyfriend. She rummaged through her handbag to look for her address book. "I don't see what good that will do." "Well, I only hinted around to him that I thought Nicole was after other men. I know now," Starlene said taking out her book and looking through the pages. "Are you going to tell him you caught her with Stanley?" "I don't know, maybe." "How do you know he wouldn't try to beat up Stanley or something." "I'll have to play this by ear I guess," Starlene said taking her cell phone from her purse. "Maybe you better give this more thought," Tiffany said. "Nope it's time for action," Starlene said dialing the numbers. "Washington Square Hotel," the receptionist answered. "Room 43 please." "One moment and I'll try that number," the receptionist said. "Hello," Vinny answered as he watched Nicole walk towards the bathroom of his room at the Washington Square Hotel. "Vinny. Hi, it's Starlene," she said. "Hi. How ya doin?" he asked watching as the door to the bathroom closed. He heard Nicole turn on the water. "I've had a rough day Vinny. I hoped maybe we could talk." "What's up?" "It's Nicole Vinny. Have you seen her lately," Starlene asked. "I'm with her now, why?" "I caught her with my boyfriend," Starlene said. "What ya mean?" he asked as his eyes narrowed. "I mean it's serious Vinny we need to talk." "Jus' when I thought things was workin' for me and Nicki" he said. "I'm sorry Vinny. When can we talk?" "I'm leavin' to go back to Florida tomorrow afternoon." "It can't wait Vinny."' "I'll meet you," he said as he heard Nicole turn on the water in the shower. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
