Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday January 10th 2002 Tiffany and Starlene glanced at each other knowingly as they watched Nicole pick up the telephone on Tiffany's desk at work. "Vinny how did you know I was here?" Nicole said wondering how her boyfriend from Florida would have gotten the number at Manhattan Party Planning since she had only stopped by earlier today. "I got my ways," he said still smarting from all of the details that Starlene had given him over their secret dinner the other day. "What's the matter honey?" she asked wondering why he had such an attitude with her. "I think it's time we did some talkin' Nicki," he said. "Well, I'm at work now," she said in a whisper not wanting Tiffany and Starlene to be aware of her man trouble. "I just bet you are," he said. "What's the matter with you Vinny?" "I ain't seen you in a while and I wanna know where I stand with ya," he said. "I can't really talk now Honey. Look we'll talk later," she said. "How about tonight?" he asked. "Well... gee. I don't know. Are you going to be in town?" she hesitated thinking about her plans to go over to Tiffany's estranged husband Skeeter's apartment after work. "I'm here now." "Oh! That's great," she lied shocked by the news. "Glad you think so Sugar. I wanna see ya right away," he said glancing at the address he had written down for Manhattan Party Planning. "Well, where are you staying? I can call you after I'm finished work," she said glancing towards Tiffany and Starlene. She noticed how quickly they both looked away not wanting her to know they were listening to the conversation. "I'm stayin' over at the Washington Square Hotel," he said. "Oh my God, that's nice," she said not wanting him to know that he was across the street from her. "Yeah, it's a okay place. What time you gettin' off?" "Well, gee Vinny honey. I'm not sure today. I work a lot of overtime," she lied. "You getting paid for the overtime?" "Sure," "Yeah I bet you are. Look I'm not playin' silly games with ya. I wanna talk to ya soon." "Are you okay?" "It ain't me ya gotta be worried 'bout, Nicki," he said. "You sound so angry Vinny," she whispered. "Ya gotta guilty conscience?" "No. Nothing like that. You just don't sound like the lovable Vinny I'm used to." "Maybe I'm gettin' smart," he said. "I tell you what Vinny, I'll call you back when I get off," she said. "You do that Sugar. You call me," he said hanging up the phone. Nicole gently put the phone back on the receiver and turned to walk away from Tiffany's desk. "Anything wrong?" Starlene asked. "No, not at all. That was just my Father's business partner and he's in town today," Nicole said. "Your Father's business partner? I thought I heard you call him Vinny. I thought Vinny was your ex-boyfriend," Starlene asked wondering if there were two Vinnys. "Yeah. That's my boyfriend Vinny," Nicole said glancing out of the window towards the Washington Square Hotel thoughtfully. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
