Daily Photos for 01/01/2002 : St. Paul's Chapel, Woolworth Building, World Trade Disaster
Top right picture you see the Woolworth Building as seen from City Hall. This was one of New York's City's first skyscrapers. After the World Trade Center disaster it is now again one of the tallest buildings downtown.
Center right picture is St. Paul's Chapel on Broadway. This Trinity Parish was built in 1766 and it's New York's oldest church. Amazingly it was at the foot of the World Trade Towers and survived. It has served as a place to feed and shelter the rescue workers since 9/11. In the front you see the memorial that covers the entire block.
