Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday December 31st 2001 "I want to go to Times Square and see the ball drop," Starlene said. "No. It's way too crowded down there," Clark said glancing around at the other guests. The other guests nodded in agreement as they sipped their New Year's Eve champagne in Stanley Morgan's Upper East Side mansion. "Yeah, but I've never seen it," Starlene whined taking another sip of her champagne. "I can promise you Starlene it's a mad house there," Clark said. "Yeah, but I want to see the ball drop in person." "Starlene, it's late and cold we don't want to go down there," her older sister, Tiffany said turning up the volume on the TV set. They turned their attention to Dick Clark interviewing his famous guests in Times Square. "Next year I get room at Marriott for everyone," Amir said in his broken English motioning for the waiter to refill the champagne glasses. "That would be a lot of fun. I wonder if it's too late now," Starlene said glancing at her watch trying to focus her eyes on the tiny numbers. "Starlene, I'm not going out in this bitter cold weather. Besides I think you've had too much champagne already," Tiffany said laughing. "I have not. I'm perfectly fine," she said. "Good then we'll just welcome in the New Year right here," Tiffany said walking towards the fireplace and standing near her lover Amir. "Where's Stanley? I'm going to see if he wants to go to Times Square," Starlene said referring to her older lover. She walked towards the kitchen swaying slightly in her high heels. She turned and walked down the hallway towards the kitchen. She took a sip of her champagne and put her hand on the swinging door to push it open when she thought she heard Stanley's voice in the kitchen. She stopped and glanced around to be sure that the other guests couldn't see her and she put her ear close to the door. "I want to spend the night with you Stan," Nicole said. "You know I can't tonight honey," Stanley said. "It's New Year's Eve though." "Yeah, but Starlene's here and Jan will be over any minute now," Stanley said referring to the fact his daughter was expected momentarily. "Haven't you ever heard that the way you spend New Year's Eve is the way you'll spend the rest of the year," Nicole said pressing her bosom into Stanley's arm as she kissed him on the cheek. "Yeah I've heard that honey," he said his hand exploring her hips in the tight short skirt she was wearing. "Well, don't you want us to be getting it on all year next year," she said pushing her hips closer to his. "I would love it," he said putting his arms around her waist bringing her closer to him. "Then tell Starlene something's come up," she said smiling seductively. "What if we get together tomorrow honey?" "You're going to make me wait?" "Later tonight then?" he asked aroused as she pressed her hips into his. "Okay". "What time." "After the guests leave. I'll take Starlene home and you come back over," he said putting his hand under her sweater and exploring her soft skin. "Everybody…. It's almost time to toast," Clark announced loudly from the living room. "Starlene are you getting the hats?" Clark called out. "Does anyone know where Stanley went?" Clark asked walking towards the hallway where Starlene was standing near the kitchen door. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
