September 11, 2001 is the day when thousands died, now millions will mourn for years to come. It was the most unspeakable act of inhumanity. New York City is healing, but we'll never forget. If you visit most other areas of the city it seems hard to believe that such devastation is in lower Manhattan. But we all know everyone world wide still remembers.
Top right picture you see the area where the World Trade Center Towers once stood. Weeks later the area is now known as Ground Zero.
Center right picture you see mourners and a wall of teddy bears along the esplanade where surely many of the victims once enjoyed quiet times.
Bottom right picture you see the Atrium Building which used to house the Winter Garden. Before September 11th the World Trade Towers stood behind the Atrium.
