Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday December 4th 2001 "Manhattan Party Planning", Tiffany said answering her telephone at work. "Tiffany, I'm on the Upper West Side. I won't be in until late this evening. I'm having a little get together tonight at the office," Clark said into his cell phone from the back of the taxicab. "Oh," Tiffany said. She hadn't known anything about the party beforehand. "It's at 5:30 today I need for you to stay. I hope you didn't have any plans," Clark said. "No. I'll stay." "See if Starlene can come too," Clark said. "Who's the party for?" "A man that's opening several jewelry stores. Got to run," Clark said hanging up the phone as the cab stopped in front of the building where he had his appointment. Tiffany hung up the phone and glanced down at her watch wondering if she had time to go home and change clothes before the cocktail party. The phone rang again and she quickly picked it up. "Manhattan Party Planning," she answered. "I come to your office soon," Amir said in his broken English. "Amir. I tried calling you and never got an answer," she said surprised that he had called her. "You call my house?" "Yes." "I come to office early and my driver bring Nicole to work." "I didn't like leaving your house with her still there," Tiffany said having worried all morning about leaving her lover alone in his mansion with the new secretary Nicole. "I know this make you, how you say…uncomfortable," Amir admitted. "Did she make a pass at you?" Tiffany asked trying to sound as if she were half-serious. "Yes." "Yes?" she asked shocked at his answer. "Yes. She is how you say…very forward young woman," he said laughing. "I knew it. I just knew she would do something like that. That's why I didn't want to leave the two of you alone," Tiffany said feeling her face flush with anger. "I talk to her about this," Amir said. "What did you say?" "I tell her that she very attractive lady, but that I have relationship with you," Amir said in his broken English. "Oh Amir, that's so sweet. I'm sorry now that I worried." "You never have anything for to worry," he said. "Good." "I have meeting now. I see you at party soon," Amir said. "You're coming to the party?" "Yes. Clark invite me." "Did he invite Nicole?" "This I do not know. I see you soon my love," he said hanging up the phone. Tiffany hung up the phone feeling a sense of relief that her lover had put the pushy young secretary in her place. She quickly glanced at her watch and realized she probably wouldn't have time to go home and change clothes before the party. She picked up the phone and dialed her apartment to ask her sister Starlene to bring her a dress to wear tonight. "Hello," Starlene answered. "Starlene could you stop by and bring me that black cocktail dress. I won't have time to come home and change and Clark's giving a party at the office tonight," Tiffany said. "Yeah. I'll bring it with me when we come," Starlene said. "You're coming too? Good, Clark told me to invite you." "Yeah. Stanley invited me." "You've talked to Stanley today?' "Yeah, he's here now," she said glancing towards the bathroom as she heard the water cut off in the shower. "I talked to Amir and he set Nicole straight about us," Tiffany said. "Yeah. Well, I don't think Stanley will have the energy for her anytime soon. Besides, Stanley's receptionist told me that Nicole's boyfriend Vinny called the office today. She said that Nicole was really upset after she got off the phone with him," Starlene said as she got out of her bed and looked for her robe. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
