January 1, 2002 it will be official, Mike Bloomberg will be sworn in as New York City's new mayor. According to reports, Mayor Mike will continue to live at his five story townhouse on East 79th Street rather than move to Gracie Mansion.
Top right picture you see Michael Bloomberg's townhouse in the center of the photo. City records show Mike bought the townhouse in April 1986 for $3.5 million. It's said to be perfectly decorated with rare Egyptian marble lined floor, English hall furniture, Flemish chairs and 18th century rugs, etc. (The etc. here could be worth millions!)
Center right picture you see the Whitney Museum nearby on Madison Avenue. Up the street in the distance you see the Carlyle Hotel.
