Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday November 29th 2001 Starlene quickly spotted the envelope in her lover's desk drawer and took it out, glancing up to be sure his office door was still closed. She pulled the proofs from the envelope and was shocked to see pictures of Stanley's new secretary Nicole in very seductive poses in various stages of undress. She could feel her heart racing in anger. She heard footsteps coming down the hallway towards his office. She quickly closed the desk drawer. She walked around the desk and took a seat moments before the office door opened. "Starlene could I get you some coffee," the young receptionist asked opening the door slightly and sticking her head inside the office. "No. Thanks. I'm having lunch with Stanley soon," Starlene said. "He said to tell you he'll be tied up in the conference room with Dave for a while. Are you sure I can't get you something?" the young receptionist asked. "Well, do you know where Stanley keeps his phone numbers?" Starlene asked. "Whose number do you need?" "I need Charles Lewis's number," she said referring to the editor of Playbody. "I could see if I can find it." "Hi I'm sorry I'm so late. Where's Stan?" Nicole asked walking past Stanley's office down the hallway towards the conference room. "Hi Nicole," the receptionist said standing in front of Stanley's partially opened office door so that Nicole couldn't see who was seated in the office. "Wow what a sleet storm last night. I really enjoyed it though. I dropped by Amir's house to give him the papers so that I could go straight to the interview for Playbody this morning. Then it started sleeting so I spent the night there with Mr. Handsome Money Bags," Nicole said boastfully. "Really," the receptionist said. "Yeah. Sorry to say that little hillbilly Tiffany was there when I came by, so I had to share him. That's okay, I know when a man's interested and it won't take me long. She had to leave for work early this morning and I had coffee with him alone. What a hunk." "Oh," the receptionist said pulling the door to Stanley's office closed a little more hoping that Starlene couldn't hear what Nicole was saying. "Amir's shy. I like a shy man though. You know he and Stanley are so different." "Yeah, they are very different." "Where is Stanley? I would have spent the day at Amir's but Stanley and I are having lunch with the editors of Playbody today," Nicole said. "Excuse me," Starlene said walking towards the office door and peering around the receptionist. "If the two of you will excuse me I have work to do," the receptionist said leaving her post at Stanley's door to walk down the hallway towards the conference room and warn Stanley of the impending problems. "Oh I didn't know you were here Starlene," Nicole said walking into Stanley's office and standing in front of Starlene. "You're having lunch today with Playbody?" "Yes. Stanley has been so helpful. He arranged the luncheon," she said knowing it would irritate Starlene. "He did huh?" "Yeah. Too bad you aren't going to be modeling for them Starlene," Nicole said smiling. "Who told you that?" "Charles Lewis. I talked to him on the phone yesterday. He makes the decisions you know." "Nicole, you made it to work," Stanley said walking towards his office. "Yes that was really an ice storm," Nicole said. "Stanley," the receptionist said over the intercom on Stanley's desk. Stanley quickly walked into his office and touched the button on the intercom. "Yes", he said. "Charles Lewis is in the lobby and waiting for you to go to lunch," the receptionist said. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
