Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday November 28th 2001 "Is Stanley in?" Starlene asked walking up to the receptionist's desk at her older lover's office in the Empire State Building. "Hi Starlene, yes I think Stanley is in his office. Was he expecting you?" the young receptionist asked glancing down at her appointment book knowing that Starlene never had appointments to see Stanley. "No. I just dropped by," Starlene admitted taking off her coat to reveal her short leather skirt and tight low cut sweater. "Mr. Morgan, Starlene is in the lobby," the receptionist said into the intercom. "She can come in," Stanley said quickly picking up the proofs of his new secretary Nicole's photo shoot for Playbody Magazine and placing them in his desk drawer. Starlene walked down the hallway towards Stanley's office. She paused briefly to pull her low cut sweater down in the front and checked to be sure that her cleavage was showing before pushing open the door to her lovers' office. "Well, what a surprise to have you stop by like this," Stanley said as he sat in his plush leather chair behind the long mahogany desk. "Really Stanley? Where's your secretary Nicole?" Starlene asked walking to the office and closing the door behind her. "She's going to be late coming in today, she left a message on the machine," he said taking a long drag off his cigar and placing it back in the ashtray. "Look Stanley. I know that Nicole spent the night over at Amir's house," Starlene said watching his face closely. "I didn't know that," he said honestly. "Oh really. Well, she did. Tiffany was there when she came by and she acted like the sleet was too dangerous for her to leave," Starlene said taking a seat in the chair in front of his desk and crossing her legs seductively in the short skirt. "That was quite a sleet storm," Stanley said wondering why Nicole hadn't told him this. "Tiffany also told me that Nicole told her I wasn't going to be modeling for Playbody like they promised me," Starlene said frowning. "She did, huh?" Stanley asked wondering how to answer this question. "Yes. Stanley they promised me. Did you talk to them?" "Honey, they do whatever they want to do. I can't make them use you." "Yeah, but Stanley. Why would they use her? I mean she hasn't got anything compared to me," Starlene said arching her shoulders and leaning back into the chair. "I don't know," he lied. "Come on Stanley call them and see what they say", she pleaded. "I can't do that Starlene." "Yes you can too. You're friends with Charles Lewis, call him," she said referring to the editor of the magazine. "I'll see him soon at a luncheon and ask him then," Stanley said. "Sorry to bother you Mr. Morgan, but Dave is in the lobby," the receptionist said over the intercom. "I'll be right with him," Stanley said relieved that he might get Starlene out of his office. "Go ahead and talk to him. I'll wait here. I want us to have lunch today Stanley," Starlene said. "I don't know about lunch. Well, wait here," he said reluctantly getting up from his chair and walking towards the door. He glanced towards Starlene and decided it was best to close his office door as he left to go to the lobby. Starlene turned to see the office door close. She quickly got up from the chair and walked around Stanley's desk to open the drawer. She'd find Charles Lewis's phone number and call him herself she thought as she quickly pulled the drawer open. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
