Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday November 27th 2001 Tiffany glanced at her watch and wondered why Amir hadn't returned her call. It was already 10 am and he wasn't at his office yet. She wondered if he was still at his mansion and most of all she wondered if Nicole was still there with him. The phone on her desk rang and she jumped from the sudden noise. "Manhattan Party Planning," she answered. "Hi Tiffany. I called Amir's house and he told me you had already left," Starlene said. "When did you call his house?" Tiffany asked. "About thirty minutes ago," Starlene said. "Why? What's the matter?" Starlene asked hearing the concern in her sister's voice. "I'm so upset. Clark left a message this morning that Mr. Jacobs was coming by the office to go over the party plans. Clark had to go to another meeting so he called a car to pick me up at Amir's house." "Yeah he called here early and I told him you got iced in at Amir's," Starlene said not understanding why this was a problem. "Did Amir sound normal?" Tiffany asked. "Yeah. What on earth is the matter with you Tiffany?" Starlene asked taking a sip of her coffee. "Nicole spent the night at Amir's." "Really, why?" "Because it started sleeting and then a cab got into an accident in front of Amir's house." "So." "She acted like she was afraid to leave so she spent the night." "Well you were there too." "Yeah, but I had to leave this morning and she stayed there with him." "Oh…I see," Starlene said putting her cup on the counter as she realized the seriousness of the situation. "Was she still there when you left this morning?" "Yes. And she was wearing one of his dress shirts with nothing on under it," Tiffany said worried. "I can't stand her." "I can't either Starlene." "I'm going to tell Stanley to fire her," Starlene said. "Well, there's something you should know," Tiffany said. "What?" Starlene asked with alarm in her voice. "Nicole told me that the editors of Playbody have decided that you aren't going to be getting a job modeling after all," Tiffany said glancing at the clock getting more worried every minute that she hadn't heard from her lover. "What?" Starlene asked jumping up from the barstool and starting to pace across the kitchen of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "That's right." "Well, Stanley told me they were going to use me." "Well, she said that she talked to him after you left the office and they had changed their minds." "That's it Tiffany, that little floozy from Florida has got to go," Starlene said. "What are you going to do Starlene," Tiffany asked. "I'm going to get dressed and go to Stanley's office now," Starlene said. "Do you think I should call Amir's house?" Tiffany asked. "What are you afraid of? Interrupting them?" Starlene said furious with Nicole. "You're right," Tiffany said quickly hanging up the phone and waiting for a dial tone. She dialed the number for Amir's mansion and listened to the sound of the phone ringing. The phone stopped ringing as someone at Amir's mansion picked up the receiver. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
