Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday November 23rd 2001 "No, I'm not that sleepy", Tiffany said holding the curtain open and watching the sleet hit the streets at Sutton Place. The lights of the ambulances reflected on the icy streets near the accident where a cab had hit a bus near Amir's mansion overlooking the East River. "I'll just finish this glass of wine then I guess I should get a little sleep. I've been partying a lot lately," Nicole said as the two women strained to make small talk while Amir was in the other room. "Really?" Tiffany asked wondering whom Amir and Stanley's new secretary would party with since she just moved to New York City. "Yeah. There are some great bars on the street where I live," Nicole said. "On Bleecker? You live on Bleecker don't you?" Tiffany asked dropping the curtain and walking back towards the sofa. "Yes. Stanley tells me that your husband lives on Bleecker too," Nicole said taking a seat in a chair across from the sofa. "Yes." "That interesting Tiffany," Nicole said raising her eyebrows as she took a sip of her wine. "What's interesting?" Tiffany asked wishing Amir would hurry back from the kitchen so she wouldn't have to be alone with Nicole. "That you would object so strongly to your sister posing for Playbody and then have an affair with a married man." "What?" "You heard me. I don't think you're in a position to judge." "For one thing, I'm separated from my husband," Tiffany said hotly. "Oh," Nicole said obviously unimpressed. "And for another thing, Amir's wife is in a coma," Tiffany said feeling her face redden in anger. "That makes a difference if the wife is sick?" "What are you trying to say?" "That I don't think you should sit in judgement of me for posing or your little sister if she ever gets offered a job modeling. Which I don't think she will now." "Stanley told Starlene that she will have a modeling job." "I spend more time with Stan than little Starlett does," Nicole said bending forward and picking up the decanter of wine from the coffee table. "It's Starlene," Tiffany said a little louder than she meant to. "Whatever," Nicole said filling her wineglass. "Would you like more wine?" she asked smiling. "No." "You are very hostile aren't you Tiffany," Nicole said. "Not usually. I just don't like you accusing me." "I'm not accusing you. You are having an affair with Amir aren't you? Not that there's anything wrong with that." "I've been friends with Amir for a long time." "I see," Nicole said smiling as she watched Amir walk back into the living room with a plate of delicacies. "I bring food," Amir said in his broken English setting the silver tray on the coffee table in front of the two women. "I don't think I'm hungry. But thank you Amir. Maybe I should just try and get a cab home after all," Nicole said sitting her wineglass on the table. "This weather much too dangerous," Amir said as they all heard the sounds of the sirens outside his mansion. "I think Tiffany is upset over my staying here." "No, I'm not," Tiffany said defensively. "Are you sure?" Nicole asked. "Of course," Tiffany said. The phone rang on the coffee table and Amir quickly picked up the phone. "Hello", he answered. "Yes your sister here," Amir said smiling and handing the phone to Tiffany. Tiffany took the phone and listened as her younger sister excitedly told her about the accidents she had seen on the news due to the inclement weather. "What do you need for the evening?" Amir asked Nicole walking with her towards the stairs to go up to the guest bedroom. "Nothing. I never wear anything to bed," she said smiling as she stood very close to the handsome foreigner. "Maybe you could tuck me in," she whispered before kissing him on the cheek. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
