Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday November 19th 2001 "You seem… how you say? Tense?" Amir said in this broken English. "It's been a hard day," Tiffany said rubbing his muscular thigh as she sat beside him on the sofa in his living room of his Upper East Side Mansion at Sutton Place. "I hope you find happiness in my home coming," he said touching her long blonde hair. This was to be their first evening alone since he came back from his island home and his comatose wife he left behind. "I do. I'm very happy to have you home. It's this publisher Charles Lewis," she said hesitating to tell him her insecurities. "You no like this man?" he asked remembering the dinner party last night at Tavern on the Green. "It's not that. He's okay. It's that he seems to be scouting every woman to pose for his magazine." "Playbody very sophisticated magazine," Amir said. "You read it?" "No. I have no time for this. I have no need, I have you," he said kissing her gently on the neck. "That was the right answer," she said teasingly. "You know he asked me to pose because of that picture the detective took of the two of us on your veranda." "You do this?" he asked continuing to kiss her neck certain of where she stood on this type of issue. "No, of course, not. I do think he's going to give Starlene a modeling job just because I said no," she said noticing that he had stopped kissing her neck. "Are you sure?" "Yes. I told her she couldn't but the truth is, she's nineteen. So what can I do?" "You can not control her," Amir said starting to kiss Tiffany's neck again. "It's hard when everyone else is getting paid big bucks to pose for this guy," Tiffany said. "Who else get, how you say…. bucks," Amir asked. "Nicole, she's going to do a full page," Tiffany said. "This only rumor," Amir said pulling her closer to him. "I don't like this Amir," Tiffany said pushing him away. "What you don't like?" he asked surprised at her response. "I don't like Nicole working for you." "Stanley hire her. She is nice girl." "A nice girl that poses for Playbody." "You judge her by this?" "How would you feel if I did that?" "Never," he said honestly. "I don't like it Amir. I don't like her working in the same office with you." "Your jealousy flatter me," he said smiling attempting to pull her towards him but she resisted. "No. Tell me the truth Amir. Has she ever made a pass at you?" "No." he lied thinking about the day she came into his office and took a seat on his desk in front of him in her short skirt. "Are you sure?" "Yes," he said certain Tiffany would never forgive her this transgression. "What do you think I should do about Starlene?" "This I can not say. Only she make this decision." The phone rang on the coffee table in front of them. Amir reached over and picked up the phone. "Hello," he answered. "Amir. This is Nicole. I'm near your house and wondered if I could stop by. I have the blueprints you need for the meeting. I won't be able to come into the office until late tomorrow evening," Nicole said. "Why, " he asked. "I'm being interviewed by the Daily Word tabloids for tomorrow's paper," she said. "What this interview for?" Amir asked. He watched as Tiffany straightened up on the sofa pretending not to be listening to his conversation. "Publicity about my new job. Stanley said I could do it. Would it be okay if I stop by now and bring you the blueprints?" she asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
