Another real treat is the 1884 Dakota Building across the street from Central Park. The Dakota Building overlooks Strawberry Field and a memorial to John Lennon (next page) who was killed outside the entrance to the Dakota where he lived. This beautiful residential building is home to many famous people including Lauren Bacall and Leonard Bernstein.
