In the true spirit of coolness we thought we'd show you a few places in New York that are known as the 'coolest'.
Top right picture you see the arches of Washington Square Park. Washington Square Park is the center of Greenwich Village. This is the area of New York known for writers, musicians, artists, teachers and actors. It was within a few steps from these arches that Matthew Broderick grew up in Greenwich Village. Some of the old timers remember his family well.
Center right picture you see the clock at Astor Place. Astor Place is very close to St. Mark's Place in the East Village.
Bottom right picture you see Avenue A and Tompkins Square Park where a farmers market is taking place. This area is known as the East Village. The East Village is known for Off Off Broadway theater, shops, cool people and famous clubs like CBGB's. Click here for the next page on today's photo tour.
