When you cross Houston Street you are leaving Greenwich Village and entering the area of New York City known as Soho.  So what's the difference?  Greenwich Village is known for clubs, New York University and Washington Square Park.  Soho is known for art, shopping and restaurants.  Both areas are known to be expensive trendy areas of New York. Top right picture you see a billboard at West Broadway and Houston Streets. Center right picture you see people dining at a restaurant on Houston Street on a warm October day. Bottom right picture is West Broadway. This looks like a pretty picture but it's actually a very sad sight for New Yorkers.  Before September 11th the World Trade Towers would have been very visible in the horizon of this picture.  Click here for the next page on today's NYC photo tour.
