Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday October 18th 2001 "What did you think of her?" Clark asked Jan as the young woman closed the office door and walked down the stairs of Clark's townhouse. "She's totally inappropriate," Jan said adamantly referring to the young attractive woman that had just left their office. "Why? I thought she was nice," Clark said. "Fake," Jan said taking her palm pilot from her briefcase and glancing at her schedule. "Really? Well, of course it's none of my business she'll be working for you and Amir," Clark said thinking about how attractive and well educated the young woman had been. "I have plenty of time to make a decision. Amir will be on his island with his wife for awhile," Jan said proud of her position as future employer. "How long?" "We don't know for sure. He's waiting on the doctors to tell him if they think there's any chance of her regaining consciousness." "He's really a clever man. That was genius of him to drop out of the race before the scandal with Tiffany lowered his poll numbers. Then to fulfill his campaign promises with his own money... That was just amazing," Clark said remembering the speech Amir had given. Adoring supporters had cheered as he left the podium at his televised press conference. "I suggested that," Jan lied. "That was really clever Jan," Clark said not believing for one minute that Jan would ever suggest spending personal money over taxpayer money. "That's what I'm here for." "He's lucky to have you." "I should check in with Father and see if he wants to meet for lunch," she said picking up Clark's phone and dialing the number to her Father's office. "Mr. Morgan's office," the young secretary answered. "Put Father on the phone," Jan snapped remembering her dislike for her Father's attractive young secretary. "Hold on and I'll see if he's in his office Miss Morgan," the young girl said. "He's in his office and you know it, just put him on the phone," Jan snapped shaking her head in disgust as she glanced up at Clark. "His secretary?" Clark whispered. "Yeah, the dumb little gold digger thinks she can pull this on me," Jan said bitterly. "Father," Jan, said sweetly as Stanley picked up his phone. "Yes", Stanley answered watching the young brunette seated across from his desk brush her hair back and smile as she watched him. "I just interviewed that girl that your friend sent over. I didn't like her at all. I could interview a few more after we have lunch today," Jan said as she typed notes into her palm pilot. "I've decided to handle this myself," Stanley said picking up his cigar from the ashtray. He watched intently as the young woman crossed her legs in the short red skirt. When she saw him look up from her legs to her face she smiled knowingly. "What do you mean?" "I'm going to interview the candidates," Stanley said flatly. "You don't have time for that Father." "I don't think it will take too much longer before I make a decision and hire someone," he said glancing at the young girl's bosom in the white sweater. "But I'm the one that will have to work with her while Amir's out of the country..." "I said I'll take care of it," Stanley said firmly. "Interviewing is too time consuming Father," Jan pleaded. "I have to be sure that whoever I hire can work closely with me and maintain confidentiality in matters that are sensitive," Stanley said smiling as he chewed on his cigar while he watched the young brunette seated across from him. The young woman slowly crossed her legs again in the short skirt glancing up at Stanley and smiling as she pressed her shoulders against the back of her chair. "But Father..." "I think I've narrowed it down," he said sure that he was experienced enough to know when a woman was ready. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
