Top right you see the many American flags at Rockefeller Center. This is the area where the NBC Today Show holds the summer concerts. If you have patience and don't mind crowds you can see big name performances for absolutely free.
Center right picture you see the St. Regis Hotel off of Fifth Avenue. This is one of the more elegant hotels in New York City. Since the terrorist attacks the hotel prices in NYC are a lot less expensive.
Around the corner from Fifth Avenue is 57th Street. This is the street where you'll find many prestigious art galleries and more great NYC shopping.
