Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday August 28th 2001 "Tiffany you look great," Starlene said standing in the doorway of her sister's bedroom in their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "I'm glad you're going tonight Starlene," Tiffany said glancing up and seeing her young sister dressed in a low cut black evening dress. "Wouldn't miss it for the world," Starlene said in her southern accent. "You like the dress I bought?" "It's really low cut Starlene." "Tiffany you don't want the attention on you tonight do you?" "No. You're right. I better go. I have to help Clark get everything set up before "London Link" gets there," Tiffany said referring to the gossip TV reporters for which Clark was hosting a party so that they could meet their New York counterparts. "I'll see you there," Starlene said watching Tiffany pick up her purse and walk towards the door. The phone on the table beside the sofa rang and Tiffany turned and called out to her sister "Starlene, would you get that?" "Got it!" Starlene said picking up the phone beside Tiffany's bed. "Hello," Starlene answered. "Starlene is Tiffany home?" Amir asked. "Hold on…. Tiffany! It's Amir," Starlene yelled quickly. She heard a door close and thought that her sister had left. "I think she just left Amir…. No…here she is," Starlene said when she saw Tiffany struggling as she ran in her high heels towards the bedroom. Tiffany quickly took the phone from Starlene and took a deep breath to calm her nerves "Hello," she said. "I catch you before you go out," Amir said in his broken English. "Yeah. Clark's giving a party tonight and I have to go. Amir how are you?" she asked taking a seat on the bed and glancing up to see her sister Starlene applying makeup. "This is difficult time for you…no?" "Yes. It's been horrible. Who do you think took that picture Amir?" she asked referring to the front-page photo in the tabloids of them kissing. Her sundress had fallen to her waist and only a blurry spot covered her bosom. "I think that other candidate have this done," Amir said referring to his competition in the race for mayor. "I'm sorry Amir. I'm so sorry," Tiffany said. "I regret that this happen too." "How is your wife?" "She still remember nothing." "Does she know you?" "Sometimes I think she know my face." "Really?" "Yes. She call me to her side often and say she want to see my eyes." "Have you told her that the two of you are married?" "Yes I tell her this." "Does she remember marrying you?" "No." "I am so sorry about all of this Amir." "Yes. This difficult time. Difficult for me to say to you….", he said with deep concern in his voice as he hesitated. "What Amir, what?" CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
