Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday August 22nd 2001 Jan blew out the match after lighting the candle on her coffee table in her Upper East Side mansion. "Ilona, could you please run out and pick up a bottle of wine? I left the name and year of the wine I'd like on the paper over there by the front door, " Jan said as her housekeeper walked into the living room ready to leave for the evening. "You want me to bring wine tomorrow morning?" Ilona said in her broken English glancing at her watch seeing it was time for her to go home for the evening. "No I might want it tonight," Jan said. "Yes, Miss Morgan," Ilona said picking up the paper and opening the door to leave. "And Ilona…be sure the wine is 1960 no matter what it costs," Jan said. "Yes. Miss Morgan," Ilona said closing the door behind her as she wondered why her employer would want another bottle of wine with the cellar full. Jan walked to the window and watched as her housekeeper got into the cab which then sped into the traffic. She walked to the mirror on the wall and checked her hair when she heard the steps at her front door. The doorbell rang. She quickly walked to the front door and opened it. "Come in," she said. She watched Skeeter's prideful swagger as he walked in and took a seat on her sofa. She closed the door and walked to the sofa taking a seat beside him, "Hay Baby," Skeeter said in his slow southern accent putting his hand on her thigh as he noticed the low cut sweater she was wearing. "Skeeter you have some explaining to do. Why did you go to Elizabeth's apartment?" she asked. She had run into the wealthy socialite that once was her Father's lover at the Upper East Side bazaar. It seemed to give Elizabeth great pleasure when she told Jan that Skeeter had come by her apartment the day after meeting them at the party at Gracie Mansion a few nights ago. "I told you on the phone Baby, she called me and invited me over to see the view from the balcony in the daylight. She said she knew I was new in town and she was just being friendly. I thought since she was a friend of your Daddy's I had to go. I couldn't be rude," he said rubbing her thigh. "How long did you stay there?" "We walked out on the balcony so I could see the view and I had one drink and left," he lied remembering how he and Elizabeth had become intimate right there on her balcony as soon as he arrived. "So nothing happened Skeeter?" Jan asked wanting to believe him. "No of course not Baby. I wouldn't do anything to jeopardize my relationship with you," he said rubbing her thigh. "You better not ever lie to me Skeeter," she said as he kissed her neck and gently pushed her down on the sofa. "Have you missed me Baby?" he asked tugging on her skirt as he kissed her ear lobes. "Yeah. I can tell you missed me too," Jan said breathlessly happy to have him back. "You promise me Skeeter, promise you didn't get intimate with her?" Jan moaned as she gave into his passion. "Yeah," he whispered in her ear. The key turned in the front door. "Who's that?" Skeeter asked starting to look up. "It's probably Ilona," Jan said pulling him closer as the front door opened.
