Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday August 17th 2001
Tiffany watched as the door to the townhouse near Washington Square Park  closed and her boss Clark left for his appointment on the Upper East Side.  She turned on her computer and quickly went to the email.  She saw several emails to Clark and opened one of them with the reference  "Your Secretary's a real Diamond".  It was a short note congratulating him on the recent publicity about her and Amir.  The email had an attachment.  She quickly opened the attachment and saw the picture of her with Amir emerge.  She could feel her face burn when she looked at the screen.  The straps to her sundress had fallen down around her waist and her dress was unbuttoned revealing her bare bosom.  Amir was kissing her passionately as they thought they were sharing private moments on his veranda.  The tears began to fill her eyes and she quickly got up from her desk and walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water. She didn't know how she would ever recover from this worldwide shame.  She heard the front door of the townhouse open and she rushed back to the living room.
"Hello Tiffany," Stanley Morgan said walking into the living room.
"Hi Stanley.  Clark's not here right now," she said watching her sister's older wealthy lover place his briefcase on the sofa and walk towards her.
"That's okay.  Maybe I came to visit you anyway."
"Oh."
"You look upset."
"I am.  My whole life has fallen apart."
"Because of the publicity."
"Yes. I'm so ashamed."
"Of being human.  Look you didn't know that detective was watching you and Amir."
"I know but…"
"You never told me you were seeing Amir," he said remembering all of the times he had tried to seduce her and failed.
"No."
"Why?"
"Why should I have told you Stanley?"
"Because you know very well that I was interested in you Tiffany."
"That's over now."
"I don't know," he said walking towards her.
"You have my sister Starlene now," she said looking into his eyes.
"Yes.  I have Starlene.  You and Starlene are very different women though Tiffany," he said wiping a tear from her cheek with his finger.
"I know.  I'm glad Starlene is happy with you Stanley.  She seems to really love you."
"I don't know if it's love or not.  I think she enjoys the publicity."
"Yeah, she does," Tiffany said smiling slightly.
"But you…you're more sensitive.  This has really upset you hasn't it honey?" he asked.
"Yeah.  I hate it that I might have ruined Amir's chances for becoming mayor."
"Amir will probably drop out of the race."
"You think so?"
"Yeah. He's got a lot on his mind.  He's got a wife to think about," Stanley said referring to Amir's wife that had only recently come out of a coma that had lasted for years.
"I know…" Tiffany said starting to cry.  She walked towards her desk and took a tissue from the box.
"I don't have a wife," Stanley said as he walked up behind her and slid his arm around her waist.
"You've got my sister Starlene," Tiffany reminded him.
"You're beautiful Tiffany.  I wanted you from the moment I first laid eyes on you," he said staring at her computer screen as he pulled her closer.
