Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday July 26th 2001 "Amir Hada is up in the polls", the announcer on the radio said to his caller. "That's cause women are impressed that he brought his wife over here for the treatments and she's coming out of the coma," the caller said. "Well, isn't that a good thing?" "Depends on how you look at it. He's a foreigner and a billionaire. He left his country to come over here and make more money. He left his wife there and only when he starts running for mayor did he worry about whether she lives or dies," the male caller said. "Would you be happier if his old lady wakes up and starts telling the world that he's an abusive husband or something?" the announcer asked. "I'm just saying he's got no business running for mayor of New York City. What's he done for us?" "He opened the celebrity spa in the meat packing district." "That made him money though. He doesn't know anything about running a city like New York." "We could argue this all day, but we're out of time," the announcer said as the national news feed started. The detective turned off the radio and glanced around at the chess players in Washington Square Park. He turned his attention back to the residential building across the street from the park when he saw the doorman open the door. "Evening Miss Diamond," the doorman said. "Evening," Tiffany said picking up her pace as she walked towards the waiting limo. The driver of Amir's limo quickly opened the door of the long white car when he saw her coming towards him. "She's coming out now Jim. I'll stay with her until I have the photos you want," the detective said as he watched from his car parked behind the long white limo in front of Tiffany's building. "Good. It would be great if you get a picture of them kissing... maybe even a more a compromising position" the other detective said as he sat on the park bench watching. "You know I'd enjoy that. I'll do the best I can." "Look I don't care if you have to climb in his bedroom window... get the shots of them together." "Yeah and I'll get arrested. You know Hada's got heavy security too." "We'll get you out of jail. The client that's paying the bill, he wants the goods on Hada." "Who is this guy paying to have him tailed?" "Let's just say somebody with an interest in who occupies Gracie Mansion." "I'll do my best," the detective said as he eased his car out into the traffic at Washington Square Park following the limo as it turned right on West 3rd Street heading towards Sixth Avenue. He weaved in and out of the traffic following the limo until it made its way to Sutton Place and pulled over to the curb. Tiffany quickly applied lip gloss and put her mirror back into her purse. She adjusted the straps on the white sundress as the limo driver got out of the car and walked towards the passenger side to open the door for her. She glanced through the tinted window of the limo to Amir's mansion and her heart raced with excitement. She hadn't spent many evenings alone with Amir since the story broke of his wife's coma. She thought about the beautiful bedroom and the dressing room that she used when she stayed overnight. The thought occurred to her that if his wife made a recovery this might be her last visit to the mansion. She quickly tried to put that thought out of her mind. The driver opened the door of the long limo and the hot summer air rushed into the car. Tiffany stepped outside onto the street at Sutton Place and the driver closed the door and stood by the car. "Thanks James," Tiffany said. "Have a nice evening Miss Diamond." Tiffany walked to the sidewalk and started towards the front door of the mansion. The detective got out of his car at Sutton Place Park and quickly touched the button on his camera as Tiffany knocked on the door at Amir's mansion. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
