Tiffany sat at her desk staring blankly at the invoices that she had tried to finish all day.  At least Clark had left the office early today and she didn't have to pretend to be working when her mind was too preoccupied with her problems.  The door to the townhouse opened and she quickly looked up.
"Hello," Stanley Morgan said closing the door behind him and walking into the living room of Clark's townhouse near Washington Square Park.  He smiled broadly as he walked towards Tiffany's desk.
"Stanley.  I'm surprised to see you here," she said watching the well-dressed older man as he took a seat on the sofa.
"Are you busy?"
"Supposed to be, just having a little trouble keeping my mind on my work right now.  Clark isn't here," she said thinking certainly he'd stopped by to visit her boss.
"I called earlier and I knew he would be out.  I thought I would stop by and talk to you.  Why don't you come over here and sit beside me," he said patting the sofa cushion.
"What do you want to talk about?" she asked ignoring his request.
"Your sister," he said referring to her nineteen-year-old sister Starlene.
"What can I say?"
"How do you feel about us?"
"I'm shocked that you would be seeing Starlene."
"She's an attractive woman Tiffany."
"She's only nineteen years old."
"She's a full grown woman."
"I think it's wrong.  What about Laney?" she asked referring to his Playbody model girlfriend that had gone to California hoping for a role in a movie.
"We're finished.  Laney's gone on to other things now.  We'll always be friends but she's staying in California.  I'm here."
"So my baby sister is your new woman?"
"She made the choice Tiffany."
"She's star struck.  She saw what you did for Laney and she wants to be a star.  She's willing to do anything."
"There's nothing wrong with ambition my Dear."
"I don't want her being used Stanley."
"I'm not using her, quite the contrary.  I'm sure the publicity Starlene is getting by being seen with me will open doors for her."
"What kind of door though?"
"Whatever she might want Tiffany."
"I don't want my little sister posing for Playbody or anything like that Stanley."
"I never asked Laney to model for Playbody."
"Starlene is impressionable.  I don't want her led on."
"Come over here Tiffany and sit down.  We're friends aren't we?"
"Yes," she said realizing she didn't have any choice about how to answer that question.  She got up from her desk and walked over to the sofa.
Stanley patted the cushion on the sofa and she took a seat at a comfortable distance next to him on the sofa.
"I don't want to do anything to hurt you Tiffany."
"What about Amir and his chances of becoming Mayor?" she asked referring to Clark's client and her secret lover.
"This won't affect him whatsoever."
"What about your daughter Jan?"
"She's been upset over every woman I've ever seen. She'll calm down soon.  Jan wants her allowance, she'll get over it," he said placing his arm on the sofa cushion and allowing his hand to rest on her shoulder.
"Jan wants me fired because of you and Starlene."
"I won't let that happen."
"Clark can do whatever he wants."
"My Dear, you still don't understand after all this time do you?"
"What?"
"I take care of everything."
"I don't want Starlene hurt Stanley."
"You are the sensitive one aren't you?" he said pulling her close to him as the front door of the townhouse suddenly opened.
