Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday May 21st 2001 "Starlene you can't go out with Stanley tonight!" Tiffany said nervously as her younger sister applied an additional coat of lip-gloss. She watched as Starlene ran her fingers through her long blonde hair and admired her reflection in the mirror near the front door of their apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "You don't understand Tiffany. I've been seeing Stanley for a few months now and I'm in love," Starlene said as she turned to face her angry sister. "He's an old man. He's using you Starlene." "He's a rich old man and he loves me." "He loves all women." "Look Tiffany. I know he tried to get it on with you. You had Amir, or you would have gone for it too," Starlene said referring to seeing her older sister resist the older man's advances when they weren't aware that she was watching. "That's not true Starlene. I could lose my job over this. You know Jan is furious and she has a right to be. That's her Father you're seeing." "You could lose your job over seeing Amir too," Starlene said not seeing any difference in the relationships since Amir was a forbidden client at the party planning business where Tiffany worked. "I'm in love with Amir." "Same thing. You're just jealous because Stanley's single and you didn't know Amir was married until a few months ago." "Starlene, that's not true," Tiffany said hoping the press wasn't waiting downstairs as she glanced at the low cut white sweater and short black skirt that her younger sister was wearing. The elevator door opened in the hallway then the doorbell rang. "Please Starlene, stop this before it's too late." "It's already too late," Starlene said walking towards the front door and opening it to the well-dressed older man. "Hi Stanley," Starlene said in her thick southern accent. "You look wonderful honey. The car's downstairs. Are you ready?" "Yeah." "Tiffany hello," Stanley said noticing Tiffany as she walked quietly through the hallway towards the living room hoping to avoid the older man. "Hello Stanley," she said turning to face him. "How are you? I haven't seen you in a while." "I'm fine," she said dryly. "Would you like to join us for dinner?" "No. No thanks," she said never smiling. "Tiffany's upset over the media coverage we're getting Stan," Starlene said grasping the older man's arm and smiling. "Don't worry about that Tiffany. This stuff will die down soon." "She's afraid she'll lose her job," Starlene said. "I'll speak to Clark," Stanley said referring to Tiffany's boss. "That's okay. Please. I can handle my life," Tiffany said. "You sure you won't join us?" Stanley asked admiring Tiffany's long shapely legs as she stood in the hallway. "No. Thank you for asking." "Okay, next time maybe. Ready Starlene?" he asked. "Always ready for you Stanley," Starlene said smiling broadly as she pressed her bosom against his arm. "Umm, I'm hungry honey. Let's get dinner over with, I want my dessert," he whispered into her ear as he glanced up and noticed Tiffany had gone into the living room. "Me too Stan. Do you think the media is waiting downstairs?" she asked hopefully as the door closed behind them. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
