When you hear the term "The Village" in NYC, you might think of one place. The village is made up of the East Village and the West Village. Both are super cool but different.
Top left picture you see Washington Square Park which is Greenwich Village (West) . In the distance you see the famous arches. The arches of Washington Square were designed in 1892 commemorating the centenary of George Washington's inauguration.
Top right picture you see an old and enchanting building next door to Tompkins Square Park which is located in the East Village.
Center right picture you see the famous cube in the center of Astor Place with the skyline of the city in the background. This is considered the East Village. Most of the time you will find young villagers hanging out under or around the cube.
