"To most beautiful love," Amir said in his broken English.  He touched his glass of wine to Tiffany's as she smiled at him.
"You spoil me Amir."
"I hope one day I give you everything," he said placing his wineglass on the coffee table and putting his arm around her as they sat on his sofa in his Sutton Place mansion overlooking the Queensboro Bridge.
"I only want you and that's the one thing I can't really have," she said referring to his comatose wife that was still in the hospital on his island home abroad.
"Never can we know for tomorrow.  Until day come that we be together forever be patient," he said rubbing her shoulders and watching her face.
"I'm being as patient as I know how."
"What worth to have… How you say? … Worth to wait," he said.
"Yes," she agreed smiling as she realized she would never be able to resist his charms.
"My advisor appoint commission for to study."
"Study?  What kind of study?" she asked suspicious of his advisors that had once told him to be careful never to be seen with her.
"Explore run for mayor."
"Mayor? Wow!  Really Amir?"
"Only study for this."
"That means you might run though."
"Yes, perhaps."
"You think you would like being mayor of New York?"
"Maybe this job for me.  No other person run that care for city as much as I care."
"You'd be a great mayor. How exciting".
"Only one thing concern me most."
"What?"
"That you be patient.  I never want this make me lose you."
"Why would you lose me?"
"Advisor say that I must bring wife right away to hospital in states."
"You tried a few weeks ago and she was too sick for the trip.  What can you do?" Tiffany asked remembering how relieved she was that this mystery woman was unable to come to the city and take her lover's attention.
"Doctors say now she come."
"When?"
"In few days they think she come to university hospital."
"Oh well, here we go."
"Reporters they talk of this I am sure."
"I'm sure they will."
"Advisor say I be careful to only be seen going to hospital to wife, no other womans, only wife."
"We've always had to be careful.  I could still lose my job if Clark finds out I'm seeing his client.  So this isn't new Amir."
"Yes. Yes.  Only we be more careful for months to come."
"What about entertaining the fashion designers and stuff like that?" she asked still a little angry that being seen with beautiful international fashion designers that took retail space in his spa didn't seem to be as much of a problem.
"Only see womans for business, never for pleasure."
"Are you saying you don't want to see me anymore?" she asked trying to steady her trembling hands as she reached for her wineglass on the coffee table.
