Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday May 8th 2001 "Look Jan I don't have Starlene's phone number on me," Skeeter said in his slow southern accent as he sat on his futon sofa in his apartment on Bleecker Street. "Well you better find it and tell that little tramp to leave my Father alone," Jan said furious that Skeeter's estranged nineteen year old sister-in-law had been seen with her Father on a local TV gossip show. "Why don't you call your old man and complain to him?" "It won't do any good." "So. Why be so mad if your Daddy's having some fun?" "Because she's just a low class tramp and she chased my Father," Jan said into her cell phone as she paced the Oriental carpet in her Upper East Side mansion. "Look Jan you told me several times that my wife Tiffany was just a toy in your Father's chest if he could get his way. So maybe her sister is just another toy more willing to put up with him." "My Father's a man. That little tramp chased him. If you don't give me her phone number I'll be forced to confront Tiffany," Jan said. "I told you I don't have the number," he lied taking out his wallet from his back pocket and looking for the number he had written down several months ago. "Then I'll confront Tiffany tomorrow at work." "Do whatever you want. It's not my problem." "I'll see to it that it is your problem," she said. "What are you going to do, try and get me fired again?" he said still angry that she had to power to get him fired whenever she wanted. "Maybe." "I'll find her number and call her myself, okay?" he said furious that he had to do as she wished. "Call me right back." "Alright," he snapped hanging up the phone. He unfolded the wrinkled piece of paper and quickly dialed the number at Tiffany's apartment hoping that his estranged wife wouldn't answer the phone. "Hello," Starlene answered in her thick southern accent. "Starlene, it's Skeeter". "Hi Skeeter how ya doin?" "You been with Stanley Morgan lately?" "Yeah! We went to dinner tonight! I rode in his limo and guess what?" she asked excitedly. "You were on TV," he said. "Huh! You saw me? You saw me on TV? Did you tape it? Did I look good?" "No I didn't see it Starlene," he said smiling at her enthusiasm. "How did you know then?" "Jan called me." "Oh really?" "Yeah and she's hopping mad at you," he said. "Really?" "Yeah. She might cause you trouble Starlene. She's a mean woman." "Can't you calm her down, take her to bed or something," Starlene said in her southern accent, remembering how Skeeter had talked to her secretly about his affair with Stanley's daughter Jan. "She's threatened to go to Tiffany's office tomorrow and get her fired if you don't quit seeing her old man." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
