Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday May 4th 2001 Stanley put the dinner receipt in his pocket and waited at the dining room table of the restaurant in Times Square for Starlene to return from the Ladies Room. "Stanley Morgan!" "Thomas how are you? What a surprise to see you here," Stanley said shaking the hand of one of the wealthiest real estate brokers in Connecticut. "I can see you've found yourself a new girlfriend since Laney moved away," the gray haired man said nodding towards the Ladies room. "Little southern belle." "Stanley you get younger everyday and so do your women. I envy you the freedom you enjoy," Thomas said. "You think she's good looking?" Stanley asked. "Wow. Get her in Playbody like you did Laney. I'd love to see that. You might want to consider starting your own Gentlemen's magazine," Thomas said looking up when he saw Starlene coming towards the table in her short skirt and fishnet stockings. "Starlene, I'd like for you to meet Thomas Gordon," Stanley said standing and watching Starlene extend her hand. "Nice to meet you," Starlene said in her thick southern accent shaking the older man's hand. "What an accent," Thomas said. "I'm from Georgia," Starlene said laughing. "A Peach too," Thomas said as his eyes darted down her low cut blouse. "Thank you Mr. Gordon," she said. "Thomas honey. It's Thomas to you. I'm sorry I have to rush. I see my associates are at the door waiting for me," Thomas said. They all looked towards the door and noticed two men waiting as they stared at Starlene. "At least I can say I met the most beautiful woman in New York, they'll all be jealous," Thomas said kissing Starlene on the cheek before leaving. "Was he a good friend of yours Stanley?" Starlene asked. "One of the wealthiest men in Connecticut." "Really and who are those guys he's with?" "A Senator and the Governor," Stanley said looking towards the door and seeing that all three men were smiling as they watched Starlene bend over to pick up her purse. "I hope I made a good impression," Starlene said turning towards the front door and watching it close behind the men as they departed hitting each other on the back smiling. "I think you did honey," Stanley said feeling a little better about his decision to be seen with her tonight. Stanley took her arm as they walked to the front door of the restaurant. A waiter rushed to open the door for them and they walked out into the chilly evening air. "Mr. Morgan! Could you talk to us a moment sir," a reporter said rushing towards the older man with his microphone extended. Starlene could feel her heart racing as a cameraman rushed towards them holding a microphone to their faces. "I'm sorry. I don't have time to talk this evening," Stanley said. "Mr. Morgan, I'm with "Go Gossip TV". Could you just tell us who your new girlfriend is?" the reporter persisted. "I'm busy. No comment." Stanley said rushing as Starlene slid into the back of the car in her short skirt. She looked straight into the camera smiling as Stanley slid in beside her. Just as the driver started to close the door of the limo she heard the cameraman say, "I know that girl, that's Starlene". She glanced back at the cameraman right before the door closed and realized it was Phil behind the camera. The same cameraman she had met a few weeks ago at the party at the Waldorf Astoria. "How did he know your name?" Stanley asked as the door slammed and the driver rushed to the other side of the car. "I met him at Amir's party at the Waldorf," she said satisfied with her accomplishments this evening as the long car made it's way out into the heavy traffic in Times Square.
"We just saw the wealthy Stanley Morgan leaving Sardis with his new girlfriend," the television reporter said. "We only know that her first name is Starlene and boy does this new one look like a star! Maybe this is the next 'It girl' for Stanley Morgan and New York," the anchor of 'Go Gossip' said.
Skeeter hit the off button on the remote of his TV in his Bleecker Street apartment and pounded the coffee table with his fist in excitement. He glanced down at the pictures of Starlene's creamy skin covered only by small pink feathers as she posed on a velvet sofa in the Hell's Kitchen photography studio. This could be his lucky break. He knew he was right to lie to her and tell her he didn't have the photos when she asked to see them. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
