Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday May 2nd 2001 "Have a good time tonight", Starlene said as she followed her older sister to the front door of the apartment overlooking Washington Square Park. "Thanks Starlene. Will you be okay here alone tonight?" Tiffany asked turning to face her younger sister. "There you go again! Of course I'll be okay. You just go have a good time. You might not be able to spend much time with Amir after his wife gets here," Starlene said. "Don't remind me. I'll call you later," Tiffany said dreading the thought of her secret lover's wife being transported from his island abroad to NYU Hospital. The only lucky thing in this situation was that Amir's wife had been in a coma for years, so the likelihood of her awakening wasn't really that great. Starlene locked the front door of the apartment relieved to finally have her inquisitive sister out for the evening. She took a seat on the sofa and picked up the telephone and dialed the familiar number. "Mr. Morgan's office," Stanley's secretary answered. "Could I speak to Stanley," Starlene asked in her thick southern accent. "Starlene, hold on," the young secretary said hitting the hold button. "Hi Starlene. Is everything okay?" Stanley asked worried that Tiffany had given her younger sister the third degree after running into him in the lobby of the apartment building as he was leaving this afternoon. He had the doorman call upstairs and warn Starlene of the chance meeting. This is what he paid doormen good money for and there shouldn't be any problems or gossip. "No. Everything's not okay," she said angrily. "The doorman warned you. It shouldn't have caused you any problems," he said remembering that he had handed the doorman a hundred-dollar bill as insurance. "I lied my way out of it Stanley," she said. "What's the problem then honey?" "You asked Tiffany to go out to dinner with you." "She told you huh?" "Yeah she doesn't lie to me the way I'm forced to lie to her," Starlene said as if Stanley had forced her into her many lies. "I just did that to throw her off, so she wouldn't think I had been upstairs with you." "You didn't want to take me to dinner or drinks. You told me you were going out with the Mayor tonight." "That meeting was canceled." "Then why didn't you take me out. You were willing to take Tiffany out." "What's the matter honey are you jealous?" "No. It's just that you never take me out in public. Are you ashamed of me or something Stanley?" "No. It's not that. It just hasn't happened yet. We are just such romantics we stay in and do what lovers do, that's all," he said remembering her young body earlier today. "I'm tired of that." "You're tired of being romantic with me?" "No. I mean I'm tired of only being romantic with you. You promised you'd help me get a job and you haven't done anything yet." "I'll see if I can get in touch with the Playbody editor that helped Laney get her start." "Really Stanley?" she said feeling the excitement rush through her body. She knew she was right all along. If Stanley could get Laney a job modeling in Playbody he could surely help her. "Yeah." "When?" "Soon. I'll try to call him tomorrow." "What are you doing now?" she asked. "Nothing this moment." "I've worked up a big appetite with you today Stan. Tiffany's gone out. Why don't you take me out to dinner and we could have some more fun later," she said seductively into the phone. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
