Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday April 30th 2001 Tiffany walked briskly towards her apartment building across the street from Washington Square Park. She had spoken with her younger sister Starlene today on the phone while she was at work. She was relieved to find out that her estranged husband, Skeeter had given Starlene the pictures the photographer had taken of her. She only wished that Starlene hadn't torn up the pictures before she got to see what type of photographer Skeeter had arranged to photograph her voluptuous, naïve sister. She didn't want Starlene to become a lingerie model and she certainly didn't want her estranged husband Skeeter trying to help her. She was thankful Clark had told her she could leave the office early today, she wanted to talk to Starlene about her future in New York. She nodded as she passed a woman with her two small dogs walking out of the door of her building as the doorman held the doors open for her. "Evening Ms. Diamond," the doorman said as Tiffany passed him walking into the lobby of her building. "Hi," Tiffany said smiling at the elderly doorman as she turned to walk towards the elevator. Her smile quickly faded from her face. "Stanley, what are you doing here?" Tiffany asked. She could see shock on the older wealthy man's face as he lifted his head and saw her walking towards him. "Tiffany! How are you", Stanley said quickly regaining his composure as he approached her. "I can't believe you're here in my building," Tiffany said quickly regretting her remark. Perhaps Jan's Father didn't know she lived in the building and now the lecherous older man would know exactly where to find her. "I'm glad I ran into you." "You know someone else in the building?" "I know a lot of people my Dear. Perhaps you'd like to go out for a drink or dinner?" he offered admiring her legs in the short skirt. "No. No thanks. I got off early today and I want to spend some time with Starlene," she said. "How is your beautiful young sister?" Stanley asked feeling warm all over as he remembered his last hour upstairs with Starlene while Tiffany was at work. "She's okay. She just needs to get a job," Tiffany said feeling as if this had become an everyday statement over the last few months. "I'm sure she'll find something. Are you sure you wouldn't like to go out for a drink?" he asked as his eyes roamed the front of her pink sweater. "No. Thanks Stanley, nice seeing you though," she said smiling politely. "My regards to Starlene," he said as he walked towards the door. Tiffany walked towards the elevator and hit the button glancing up to see the elevator descending. She quickly glanced back towards the front door and saw Stanley whispering something to the doorman as he placed money in the doorman's hand before picking up his briefcase. "Would you like for me to call a car for you Mr. Morgan?" the doorman asked. "No. Thanks John, I'll just get a cab. See you later," Stanley said. Tiffany watched as Stanley walked out of the front door. The doorman quickly turned to look in her direction. When he saw Tiffany watching he quickly turned his head and looked out of the building towards the park. The door to the elevator opened and Tiffany stepped inside hitting the button for the 7th floor. The elevator stopped on the 7th floor and the doors opened. Tiffany put her key in the front door and quickly opened it. She stepped inside and closed the door. She walked into the kitchen just as Starlene hung up the intercom phone that was connected to the front desk downstairs in the lobby of the building. "Hi. You're home early," Starlene said tugging on the front of her Yankee's T-shirt to cover her body. "You just got up?" Tiffany asked noticing her younger sister's unbrushed hair. "No. I just haven't gotten dressed yet." "Aren't you going to look for a job today?" "No." "What have you been doing all day Starlene?" "Going through the want ads in the paper," she lied. "I just ran into Stanley Morgan in the lobby," Tiffany said monitoring her young sister's reaction closely. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE PHOTOS BELOW.
