Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 4^th 2001
Tiffany opened the front door of her apartment overlooking Washington Square Park and walked in closing and locking the door behind her. 
"That you Tiffany?" Starlene yelled from the living room in her thick southern accent.
"Yeah.  You still up?" Tiffany said walking into the living room and seeing her younger sister on the sofa reading a fashion magazine in front of the muted television set.
"I couldn't sleep.  How was your evening with Amir?" she asked tossing the magazine onto the coffee table and watching Tiffany take a seat beside her on the sofa.
"Sad.  Very sad that his wife will be here soon and I won't be able to see him.  Also very scary too.  A reporter came towards us as we were leaving the restaurant in Little Italy."
"Really!  Do you think it will be on the news?" Starlene asked as her eyes widened.
"I hope not."
"Man. That's really cool Tiffany that you might be on the news as the other woman to a wealthy man."
"Starlene.  It's not cool at all.  If I am on the news as the other woman then I could lose my job."
"Yeah…but with that kind of exposure you could get other jobs."
"It wouldn't work like that Starlene," Tiffany said annoyed with her sister.  She kicked off her high heels and put her feet on the coffee table.
"Are you going to see him anymore?"
"Not until after his wife is here.  Then we'll have to see how it goes.  I mean if she comes out of the coma then it'll be a while.  If she doesn't come out of the coma then it'll be a while too.  I don't see any good ending to this really.  I probably should just try to get over him."
"Are you crazy?  With all of that money!  Just hang in there Tiffany. Maybe the woman will die."
"That's a horrible thing to say Starlene."
"Well maybe it is...but after all of this time I don't think he loves her anymore.  Why should she still be his wife and have all that money when she can't even go shopping."
"Starlene that's just too horrible for you to say things like that."
"It won't be horrible when you're the Mrs. Hada and she isn't.  Then you'd be happy.  This sucks that you have to wait like this.  He should be giving you presents and stuff to keep you happy while you wait."
"When did you get so materialistic?" Tiffany asked. 
"That's not materialistic Tiffany, it's smart.  Look what other women get.  I mean even if she lives….  Just stay with him.  Be the other woman.  You'll get a lot out of it."
"Living alone while he's with her."
"He loves you Tiffany.  He's not going to forget you that easy.  He'll be slipping over here to see you.  She can't make up for all of those years she's been in the coma."
"It just occurred to me Starlene," Tiffany said as her eyes widened in fear.
"What?"
"We'll have to move.  This is Amir's apartment.  We can't stay here if she lives.  She'll find out he has a woman…two women living in one of his apartments."
"Get him to give you the apartment," Starlene said in a business like manner.
"I can't do that."
"Yes you can.  Look!" Starlene said as her eyes caught a glimpse of Tiffany and Amir on the television screen. She grabbed the remote hitting the volume.
"Mr. Hada refused to comment.  It looked like a romantic evening to us.  We'll check on this woman and get more information in the coming days," the young male reporter said as the television station went to commercial break.
"Wow Tiffany.  You're really making it girl," Starlene said.  She was surprised to turn her head from the television screen and see tears rolling down her sister's face.
