"Stanley Morgan books a lot of parties with Manhattan Party Planning," Starlene said watching Skeeter's face as he listened intently to her every word.
"Does the old man come by Tiffany's office a lot?" Skeeter asked.  His mind kept going back to the conversation he had with his lover Jan Morgan one night in her Upper East Side mansion.  She told him that her Father liked having a woman like Tiffany around at his parties.  He wasn't sure if Jan's remark had come from jealousy of her Father and his estranged wife Tiffany or if her remarks were based on illicit facts.
"I've seen him there once."
"You've actually seen the old man at Clarks' office with Tiffany?" he asked trying to hide his anger hoping to get more information about his estranged wife from his young sister-in-law.
"Yeah. But he's Clark's client you know?"
"How did he treat Tiffany?"
"Why are you asking so many questions about him and Tiffany?"
"Cause I want to know what my wife's up to".
"I don't think Tiffany likes him, so you don't have anything to worry about.  Besides I told you I think he's interested in me now," she hopefully as she remembered that she had seen Stanley trying to kiss Tiffany once before he ever met her.  Surely now that Stanley knew her he wouldn't be interested in her older sister anymore.
"You like that old man?" he asked watching her closely as she stood in the sunlight of the window at his apartment on Bleecker Street.
"Yeah.  I like him a lot.  I think I'm falling in love with him really," she lied  pushing her long blonde hair out of her eyes.
"Love.  I had no idea you were seeing him."
"Well, it's just getting started good.  You know.  I haven't told anybody, especially Tiffany.  You won't tell her will you?" she asked nervously.
"No.  I won't tell her.  What does Tiffany think of the possibility of Stanley getting you a job modeling in Playbody?" he asked watching her hips move seductively as she walked over to the futon and took a seat beside him.
"She says I can't do it. She says as long as I'm living with her I have to get a job and I have to work wearing my clothes."
"Oh really."
"Yeah.  But it's my life Skeeter.  She does what she wants.  She's not my boss.  I'm a grown woman."
"How old are you now?"
"Nineteen."
"Yeah.  That's old enough to do whatever you want. Tiffany and I were married when she was nineteen.  Besides look what she's doing," he said as his eyes narrowed thinking about his estranged wife and her wealthy lover.
"Well enough about me now Skeeter. Tell me all about you and what you've been up to since you moved to New York."
"Well, I came here to get Tiffany back and it hasn't worked out, yet."
"You still going to try to get her back?"
"I'll never give up."
"That's love."
"Ain't going to let her make a fool of me that's for sure. Other than that I have this great job with a big lingerie company in the same building that Tiffany's wealthy lover owns."
"You ever see him?  You ever see Amir at the spa?," she asked referring to her older sister's wealthy lover.
"I've seen him once."
"Does he know you've seen him?"
"No and I like keeping it that way too."
"Does that make you mad knowing he's been with Tiffany?"
"He might be seeing her, but she's still married to me.  Besides, it's called getting even," he said confidently.
"You going to get even?" she asked smiling at her knowledgeable brother-in-law.
