Friday January 26th 2001 "Starlene I wish you hadn't continued to tell Stanley you wanted to ride in his limo after I said no," Tiffany said watching her younger sister take off her coat and throw it over the chair in the living room of her apartment across from Washington Square Park. "We should've gone in the limo instead of walking home. Then we could have gone out to dinner with the old man," Starlene said grabbing the back of the chair to steady herself as she kicked off her high heels. "You've had too much brandy. Besides walking one block home wasn't too much," Tiffany said watching her younger sister sway as she walked towards the sofa in her short leather skirt and fishnet stockings. She noticed that Stanley never allowed her sister's glass to be empty. If she hadn't insisted that they go home Stanley would have continued to pour the brandy for her willing little sister. "I never had it before. I love brandy, do you have any here?" Starlene asked walking to the window to see if Stanley's long limo was still up the block. When she didn't see the long car she walked to the sofa tossing her shoulder bag on the cushion and taking a seat. "No and you don't need anymore," Tiffany said taking off her coat and walking to the chair across from the sofa and taking a seat. "I can't believe the way that old man acted tonight, honestly." "I thought you liked him." "Not really. I put up with him," Tiffany said. "He was nice enough to get you your job back. You didn't tell me that Tiffany," Starlene said remembering the sight she had seen when she came to her sister's office door. Tiffany certainly didn't seem to dislike Stanley when she spotted them through the window beside the front door. Stanley Morgan was kissing her older sister on the bosses sofa. "I work hard that's why I got my job back," she said wondering how much Stanley had to do with Clark rehiring her. "Well I like him…a lot," Starlene said remembering the kiss Stanley gave her as Tiffany had her back turned locking the front door of the townhouse when they left. "He's a dirty old man Starlene. Just watch him," Tiffany said as the phone started to ring. She watched as Starlene reached for the ringing phone. "Hello", Starlene answered watching Tiffany get up and walk into the kitchen. "Starlene, such a beautiful name for a charming young woman", Stanley Morgan said into the phone. "Who's this?" Starlene said teasingly in her thickest southern accent. "You forget so fast, my dear?" "Is this Stanley?" she whispered into the phone. "Yes it is. I wanted to call and tell you what a pleasure it was to meet you this evening," he said into his phone as he watched the limo driver swerve to miss hitting a Big Apple tour bus. "I think the pleasure was mine," she said remembering his quick kiss behind Tiffany's back. "I wish you had gone to dinner with me. I understand that a beautiful young woman like you would be busy though", he said remembering her voluptuous young figure in the tight leather skirt. "I would have gone to dinner, but Tiffany didn't want to. I thought maybe I interrupted you and Tiffany when I stopped by this afternoon." "We were only talking…business you know. Maybe you would like to go out one evening. I would love to take you for a ride in the limo and show you the city." "I would love it but I don't know if Tiffany would be too happy about that", she said watching Tiffany start to walk out of the kitchen towards the living room carrying two sandwiches on napkins. "Then we'll keep this a secret between us my dear. We're consenting adults. I'll call you again when Tiffany's at work." "Okay, that sounds great. I'll look forward to hearing from you" she said hanging up the phone and taking the sandwich from her sister. "Who was that?" "One of the job interviews I went on. They might want me to come in for another interview," she said taking a large bite from her turkey sandwich as she put her fishnet stocking covered feet up on the sofa. CONTINUED MONDAY.
