Thursday December 28th 2000 "Laney this is my little sister Starlene", Tiffany said as she introduced her younger sister to her friend the Playbody model. "Nice to meet you Darlene", Laney said sliding into the booth beside Tiffany at the MacDougal Café. "It's Starlene, nice to meet you too", Starlene said in her slow southern accent smiling at Tiffany's friend. "So how was Christmas?" Tiffany asked. "Terrible. Just terrible," Laney said grabbing the menu from behind the catsup bottle and starting to look it over. "Why?" Tiffany asked. "Oh it's Stanley. I asked for a white mink coat and he gave me a jacket," she said shaking her head in disgust. "Oh. What kinda jacket?" Starlene asked. "White mink. But I wanted a full length." "Wow he gave you a mink jacket and you're mad at him?" Starlene asked. "Yeah, it's not like he had to cut out coupons to get it and I know he gave that snake daughter Jan of his a full length," Laney said closing the menu and putting it on the table. "Wow". Starlene said she'd never known a man that could afford a mink coat, much less two. "So enough about my problems. So…Tiffany I know you're happy to have your sister visiting." "Yeah, it was a nice surprise." "Did you hear from Amir? Did the two of you get back together?" Laney asked. "Well, yeah I saw him." "She saw him alright. Show her Tiffany. Look at that rock!" Starlene said nodding towards her sister's ring finger. "Like that's bad Tiffany! Wow! You two must have patched up everything?" Laney said turning Tiffany's ring finger from side to side admiring the large diamond surrounded by sapphires. "It's much better now." "I guess so… what a rock. What do you think two or three carats?" "I don't know." "Get it appraised right away. Did he ask for a prenup?" Laney asked. "A what?" Tiffany asked. "Prenuptial agreement?" "It's not an engagement ring Laney. He's still married," Tiffany said obviously still very bothered with her lover's marital status. "Oh whatever. Who cares?" Laney said. "That exactly what I said," Starlene said. "Are you ready to order?" the waitress asked. "I'll have a cheeseburger with fries," Starlene said. "Same here", Tiffany said. "Drudgery…. Make mine a chef salad, but put lots of cheese and ham on it", Laney said. "You on a diet?" Tiffany asked. "Yeah, I've got to loose ten pounds before I have the next photo shoot," Laney said. "Stanley's helping me get in Playbody again. But they said not unless I lost ten pounds. I tried to explain to them that these things were at least ten pounds," she said looking down at her low cut sweater that revealed her ample implants. "I haven't worked in months now, so I have to do this. Besides maybe I could get some acting jobs if this works out," Laney said "Acting? What kind of acting jobs?" Starlene asked. "Broadway. Why, are you an actress?" Laney asked. "I'm in the movie business," Starlene said. Tiffany quickly glanced towards Starlene surprised that she had summarized her past position as a movie ticket sales clerk in Lillard Georgia to that of the movie business. She was even more surprised as she watched her younger sister take off her jacket revealing a very low cut sweater she'd chosen to wear to the diner for lunch today. CONTINUED TOMORROW.
