Amir followed Tiffany off the elevator into the lobby of his offices of Manhattan Gold International.  Tiffany glanced around the lobby and noticed a well dressed man waiting as he read an international travel magazine.  She quickly wiped the corners of her mouth with her fingers as she realized their stolen kiss in the elevator might have smeared her lipstick.  She saw Amir nod at the gentleman as they walked past on their way towards his office.
"Mr. Hada you have a few messages," the receptionist said as he and Tiffany walked past.
"Thank you very much", he said as she handed him several pink slips of paper.
They walked silently together down the pink marble hallway to the end of the suite and Amir's office. The receptionist and several secretaries looked up smiling their eyes filled with curiosity as their boss passed their desks with his pretty, young unexpected guest.
"Hold calls", Amir said in his broken English to his secretary as they stepped into his large corner office.  He pulled the heavy wooden doors closed behind them and watched as Tiffany immediately walked towards the window to look out onto the city and his view of the Hudson River.
"Amir this is so beautiful," she said feeling a slight sense of vertigo as she gazed at the sidewalk and buildings below.
He walked behind her at the window and put his arms around her waist.
"I give up everything to be with you," he said kissing her softly on her neck.
"Oh God Amir.  You have no idea how much I've missed you," she whispered as her knees weakened at his touch.
"Why, why you send me away?"
She turned to face him and kissed him quickly before answering.  "Because you're married Amir."
"I divorce for you."
"No.  I know you can't do that."
"Then why you send me away?" he asked as he pulled her closer to him.  He touched her long blonde hair gently and looked into her eyes.
"I was so hurt Amir.  To find out through the newspaper like that.  I thought you would have told me yourself."
"But now you understand?"
"I still have a problem with you not telling me first"
"If I tell you first, you have nothing to do with me, no?"
"No.  I probably wouldn't have."
"This is why I say nothing. I want you more than anything from first moment my eyes see you," he said brushing her hair from her face.
"But now see.  See what has happened.  I don't know what to do now."
"Say yes."
"It's not that easy Amir.  You know that.  I was working for Clark.  I wasn't supposed to become involved with his clients."
"But no longer you work for him, now this no problem".
"Yes, but that's not the only thing."
"Your husband?"
"Yes.  I admit I'm part of the problem Amir.  But when I met you I was planning to divorce Skeeter.  Skeeter didn't even live in New York then.  Now everything has changed."
"Changed.  How change?"
"Skeeter's here now."
"You see him again?"
"Yes."
"You go back with him?" he asked wondering if that's why he'd ran into her in the elevator.
