Friday December 15th 2000 Tiffany sat in the lobby of Skeeter's office waiting for him to come back from lunch as she looked through an expensive photo book of lingerie. Skeeter certainly had landed a top job in New York City with this exclusive line of lingerie, she thought as she glanced through the tasteful pictures of beautiful famous models dressed in sheer lace. "You have someone waiting for you," the receptionist said into the telephone in a hushed voice. Tiffany glanced up at the receptionist and wondered if that was Skeeter that had just called the office since she was the only person in the lobby. "No. Your wife," the receptionist said turning her head obviously hoping that Tiffany couldn't hear her telephone conversation. "Okay. Okay," she said. "Mrs. Diamond. Skeeter's on the phone and would like to speak to you. You can take the call there," she said patching the call in to the phone on the heavy glass table beside Tiffany. "Hello", Tiffany answered. "What the hell are you doing at my office?" Skeeter asked in his slow southern accent. He glanced up quickly to see if Jan had opened the ladies room door of the restaurant in Little Italy. "You said you couldn't meet me for lunch, so I thought I would surprise you," she said trying to sound happy. "You shouldn't have done that. I'm with an important client. You can't come to where I work like that." "You came to my office plenty of times Skeeter. That's one of the reasons I lost my job," she said looking up to be sure the receptionist that had just walked into the other office couldn't hear her. "You really are being a pain Tiffany. Go home, we'll talk after work." "I wanted to see your office Skeeter." "You've seen it now." "I didn't see any carpet. Where did you rub the skin off your knees on the carpet looking for Bob Alexander's contact lens until late the other night? I see your boss wears glasses and the office has marble floors," she said with satisfaction that she had caught him lying to her. "I meant the marble floors," he lied as he remembered he and Jan's hour-long fling on the carpet at her Upper East Side Mansion in front of her fireplace. "Skeeter Diamond. I think you're lying to me again," she said watching as the receptionist started to walk back to her desk close by. "I said we'll talk when I come home," he said as the door to the ladies room opened and Jan started towards the table. He had paid the check and she would be ready to leave to go back to his office with him. "I don't know if I'll be at the apartment anymore Skeeter. I don't think you're being honest with me," she said. "I'll talk to you soon. Thanks for calling", he said hanging up the phone as a somewhat intoxicated Jan Morgan approached the table struggling to put on her coat. Tiffany hung up the phone and thanked the receptionist. She quickly decided she would just walk around the building and shop a while until Skeeter came back from lunch. She pushed opened the heavy glass doors and hit the button for the elevator. She stepped onto the elevator and started to hit the button for the shopping mall when she noticed the gold plaque with the inscription for "Executive Offices of Manhattan Gold International, Penthouse Floor", Amir's offices. She quickly decided that surprising one of her men was enough for one day. She was still upset over the news that Amir had a comatose wife in his country. She quickly hit the button for the lobby shopping mall. The elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. "Tiffany!", Amir said shocked to see his former lover in the elevator of his building.
